It's been a few days, Riley and Blake have been drowning themselves in training and Aeo refuses to leave Boe's side. All of them are busy so it's up to Flynn to find out what's wrong with him on his lonesome.
That's not too difficult right? Right?
"What are you doing Flynn?" A small nymph girl asks the now pacing red-head. He's been mumbling to himself for over two hours. She's laying on her stomach with her legs kicking back and forth in the air carelessly.
"Trying to figure out what's wrong with me." Flynn mutters. "I don't want to bother the others, they're all so busy." He grabs his hair in frustration and pulls at it. "This is so frustrating! I don't understand it!" He drops to the ground with a very serious thinking face on.
The nymph takes out a small cookie and starts munching on it while watching him blankly. "Maybe you're just weird." Flynn glares at her and snatches the cookie out of her hand. "No wait!-" He shoves it in his mouth and eats it.
The nymph stares at him in shock, her light green eyes watching him closely in silence for a brief moment, "That was Ambrosia wasn't it." She nods her head slowly.
Flynn looks down at himself as if expecting his body to explode any moment now.
"Well nothing's happening and I feel fine." He grabs his hair again and groans in annoyance, "Ambrosia is the food of the Gods, so why can I eat it and not die?"
A small squirrel runs up to Flynn and climbs his body. The brown creature digs its head into Flynns pocket and ends up getting stuck.
"Oh, careful buddy." He grabs the animal gently and pulls out a small piece of food. The squirrel doesn't struggle or fight him as he holds it gently and feeds it. The nymph looks back and forth at the two for a moment, dropping her new cookie in the process.
She stands up quickly. Her mouth wide open in shock. "YOU'RE A DEMI-HUMAN!"
. . . . . . .
"Whoa. This place is awesome!" Flynn shouts while sprinting into the center of a tall library that spirals up into the sky. It goes so far up that the top is blocked by the clouds. The inside of the library is shaped like a hexagon, the spiral going up through the middle. There's hundreds of floors and the top is barely visible thanks to a bright light that fills the entire staircase.
"Flynn!" The nymph breathes out harshly, "You need to be silent! This is a library!" Her hushed voice shouts as a woman whips her head over and glares menacingly at Flynn. He snickers and bolts for the spiral staircase.
"Flynn!" The nymph cries while sprinting after him. Not much later the sound of crashing fills the air. Only a few flights up and she finds Flynn on the ground and a very large troll towering over him.
His skin is smooth, a beautiful black with a few white spots around his eyes and ears.
"Ouch." Flynn rubs his head. The other creatures nearby all back away, their hair standing up and a few even shaking as the large troll puffs out his chest and blows a puff of smoke out his nose. The hot air hits Flynn in the face like a giant heatwave. A few droplets slide down the side of his face. A nervous and high pitched laugh vibrating in Flynn's chest.
Flynn stands up slowly without taking his eyes off the troll, and with the biggest smile on his face says hello. The troll seems taken back by the unnatural action. He stumbles on his words and manages to make out a muffled hello back. All it took was a smile for the dense and troubling atmosphere to dissipate into a warm and friendly one.
"Oh! Hey Trixie, do you think he might know something to help me out?!" Flynn whips around and asks the small nymph, who's still standing in shock. Her bright green eyes don't move from the Troll, but her legs are shaking and inching towards the stairs behind her.
