"You missed one you dimwitted woman!" Vince shouts at Raegan. Blake opens his eyes, a throbbing pain filling his temple. His memory is a little fuzzy. He and the others were with Riley. The City of the Lost was under attack.
Blake jolts up. He can't move his body much, a rope being tied over his chest and arms. Next to him is Aeo who's tied similarly to a large round pillar. On his other side is Felix and next to Felix is Carver. Aelius is on the other side of Aeo but Oran and the twins are missing.
Everything's super dark. He can hear a group of people arguing down a small flight of stairs.
He squints his eyes only for his view to get darker. "Don't squint." Aeo whispers. Blake looks over at him. He's very calm for a person who just got kidnapped. Regardless, Blake does as told and relaxes his vision.
Just like Aeo instructed, the vision gets brighter. "How did you know that?" Aeo doesn't respond. The group of people arguing quickly stop when a young man enters from a nearby room.
"Stop arguing. It doesn't matter. Riley or Flynn will be here for these ones eventually. Besides, we already have one of the five we need. We can have them open the gate once they're here." The man walks up the stairs and stops in front of the minor gods.
"Interesting." He stops in front of Felix, "Cupid," He walks over to Verace, "Dionysus," Finally stops in front of Aelius, "Apollo. Three Demi-gods." He mutters to himself before turning towards Carver, "A child of Aphrodite...and Hephaestus?"
"They aren't demi-gods." Blake glares. The man turns towards him and laughs.
"I see your blood. And their blood tells me they're all demi-gods." The Tartanian lowers himself to Blake. "Son of Ares and Aphrodite." He says with a large smile on his face.
"Must be quite the relationship between you and Hephaestus's boy over there." The glare Blake sends him is enough to answer that question. Finally the man turns towards Aeolus.
"Son of Poseidon and-" He pauses. The smile spreads across his face and then into a grin. Blake looks at Aeo with confusion. The demi-god doesn't return his gaze and keeps it stealed onto the ground in front of him.
"Interesting." The guy mutters. He grabs Aeo's face and looks at his eyes closer. "I see. So that's who your mother is." He lets go of Aeo and walks back a few steps. His gaze is down as he mutters to himself and paces in front of them.
"If you're her child then that means Zeus wasn't the only one." He laughs, "Wow that's quite the secret Poseidon's been keeping." The group of people walk up the stairs and meet Blake's gaze. The marks on their skin send a light bulb through his mind.
They're Tartanians. His eyes shift to Aeo. Aeo knows these guys somehow? "Grandpa. The Call of Hades has been released. The god himself probably won't come but we've likely got a war coming." One of the guys tells the man pacing. He doesn't look like a grandpa, far from it actually.
"Let them come. Have you located Riley or Flynn?" The guys all look at the girl who stands much further away. She stutters while trying to hide herself from the attention.
"Flynn is in the Lost Region.." Her fingers fiddle each other, "And Riley is in Alptrium." No one says anything for the longest minute. Alptrium? Blake hasn't ever heard of it.
"Do you know where in the Lost Region?" She shakes her head quickly. Her sad gaze meeting Blakes for a moment before darting away.
"You want to rebuild the gateway." Blake mutters. A sly smile spreads across Grandpas' face.
"And how do you know about that?" When Blake doesn't respond he pulls out a knife and points the tip of it at his throat.
"Some friends told us about it." Aeo whispers. The man lowers the knife and turns it to Aeo instead. The smile on Terrin's face grows wider.
