The crisp evening air in Seoul had a chill to it, and the city was beginning to cool down even more as night fell. Joshua glanced out the window, seeing his breath fog up on the glass, and then turned to Seokmin, who was curled up on the couch in his little space, bundled under a thick blanket.

Joshua smiled softly. Seokmin had always been sensitive to the cold, and now that they were planning to go for a night walk, he knew he had to make sure his baby was extra warm.

“Baby,” Joshua called, walking over to him, “We’re going for our walk soon, but it’s really cold out tonight. Let’s get you dressed in something warmer, okay?”

Seokmin looked up at Joshua, his big eyes blinking sleepily as he slowly emerged from his blanket cocoon. “Cold?” he murmured, his voice soft and a little drowsy.

Joshua chuckled, crouching down to Seokmin’s level and gently brushing a strand of hair out of his face. “Yeah, baby. It’s chilly outside, so we’ll put on a few layers to keep you warm.”

Seokmin nodded, already trusting Joshua to take care of him. “Okay, Daddy.”

Joshua smiled and stood up, heading to the closet to pull out a few pieces of warm clothing. He returned with a soft turtleneck, a cozy sweater, and a thick puffer jacket. “Let’s start with this,” Joshua said, holding up the turtleneck. “Arms up.”

Seokmin obediently lifted his arms, letting Joshua slip the turtleneck over his head. It was a little oversized, but Joshua thought it made Seokmin look even more adorable. Next came the sweater—thick and woolly, with cute patterns on it that Joshua knew Seokmin would love.

Seokmin giggled as Joshua gently pulled the sweater down over his head, his voice playful. “I look like a marshmallow.”

Joshua laughed softly, adjusting the sweater and kissing Seokmin’s cheek. “The cutest marshmallow ever. But we’re not done yet.”

He helped Seokmin into the puffer jacket, making sure it was zipped up all the way, then added a matching beanie and scarf for extra warmth. By the time Joshua was done, Seokmin was bundled up so well he could barely move his arms.

“Daddy, I’m all puffy!” Seokmin said, wiggling his arms like a little penguin, his voice muffled by the scarf.

Joshua grinned, his heart swelling with affection. “You look perfect,” he said, bending down to adjust the scarf one more time. “I just don’t want my baby catching a cold.”

Seokmin’s eyes peeked out from under the beanie, sparkling with warmth despite the layers. “Thank you, Daddy. I feel warm now.”

Joshua gave him a soft smile, leaning in to press a kiss to the tip of Seokmin’s nose. “You’re welcome, baby. Now let’s head out for our walk.”

Hand in hand, they stepped outside into the cool night air, the city lights twinkling around them. Joshua kept Seokmin close, their fingers intertwined as they strolled through the quiet streets. Every so often, Seokmin would snuggle closer to Joshua, his little body seeking out warmth.

“Are you still warm enough?” Joshua asked after a while, glancing down at Seokmin.

Seokmin nodded, his face barely visible beneath all the layers but his eyes showing his smile. “I’m warm because I’m with you, Daddy.”

Joshua’s heart melted at Seokmin’s words, and he gave Seokmin’s hand a gentle squeeze. “I’m glad, baby. I’ll always keep you warm.”

They continued their walk, the cold air nipping at their cheeks, but with Seokmin bundled up and Joshua by his side, the night felt cozy and perfect. And as they walked under the streetlights, Joshua couldn’t help but think how much he loved these quiet moments together—just him and his sunshine, warm and safe in each other’s company.

I really love this one.

Is it okay if I make seokmin speak like a baby in some chapters, you won't feel cringy, right?
