The soft glow of the afternoon sun streamed through the curtains of Joshua and Seokmin's cozy apartment. Joshua was busy in the kitchen, preparing some soup for Seokmin, who had been running a fever since last night. His heart ached seeing his baby sick and uncomfortable, especially since Seokmin had slipped into his little space, becoming even more clingy than usual.

In the bedroom, Seokmin lay curled up in a bundle of blankets, his cheeks flushed from the fever, a soft pout resting on his lips. His big, soft plushie was tucked under his arm, but it wasn't enough-he needed his daddy. Sniffling softly, he glanced toward the door, waiting for Joshua to return. His body felt weak, and the fever made everything feel fuzzy, but one thing was clear in his mind: he wanted to be with Joshua.

Unable to wait any longer, Seokmin shuffled out of bed, dragging the blankets with him like a little burrito. He made his way to the kitchen, where Joshua was stirring the soup. "D-Daddy..." Seokmin called out, his voice small and raspy.

Joshua immediately turned, his eyes softening when he saw Seokmin. He set down the spoon and quickly walked over, crouching to meet Seokmin's gaze. "Bunny, you should be in bed," he murmured gently, brushing a hand across Seokmin's warm forehead.

Seokmin whined softly, reaching out to tug at Joshua's shirt. "Wanna be with you... feel better when I'm with Daddy..." he mumbled, his bottom lip trembling slightly.

Joshua's heart melted. He knew Seokmin was feeling extra vulnerable because of the fever, and his little one just needed some extra love and care. Without a second thought, he scooped Seokmin up in his arms, cradling him gently. "Alright, baby. Daddy's got you," he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to Seokmin's burning forehead.

Seokmin immediately nuzzled into Joshua's neck, his arms wrapping weakly around it. "Love Daddy," he whispered, his voice tired but full of affection.

"I love you too, baby." Joshua replied, carrying Seokmin back to the couch. He sat down with Seokmin still clinging to him, the boy curling up in his lap like a little baby. Joshua wrapped the blankets around them, making sure Seokmin was warm and cozy.

Seokmin nestled closer, his face pressed against Joshua's chest, breathing in his familiar scent. "Can I stay with Daddy? Don't wanna be alone," he mumbled, his voice soft and small.

Joshua chuckled softly, brushing a strand of Seokmin's hair away from his face. "Of course, bunny. Daddy's not going anywhere." He held Seokmin securely, his large hands gently rubbing his back.

As the minutes passed, Seokmin's clinginess only grew. He whimpered softly whenever Joshua shifted, his hands clutching tighter to Joshua's shirt. "Daddy..." he whined, his voice weak from both the fever and his little space. "Stay close... please?"

"I'm right here, baby," Joshua reassured him, gently stroking Seokmin's feverish cheeks. "Daddy's here, sweetheart. I won't leave you."

Seokmin's tired eyes fluttered open for a moment, gazing up at Joshua with a pout. "Promise?"

Joshua's heart swelled with affection as he kissed Seokmin's forehead. "I promise, my bub. Daddy will always be here for you."

Seokmin smiled weakly, satisfied with Joshua's promise. He snuggled deeper into Joshua's arms, his little body relaxing as he felt safe and loved. Joshua continued to hold him close, gently rocking him as Seokmin slowly drifted off to sleep.

Joshua gazed down at his baby boy, his heart full of love and protectiveness. He'd do anything for Seokmin, especially when he was like this-vulnerable, soft, and in need of all the love Joshua had to give.

As Seokmin slept soundly in his arms, Joshua whispered softly, "Rest, my little bunny. Daddy's here, and I'll take care of you." And with that, he held Seokmin even closer, vowing to be there every step of the way until his baby felt better again.
