New foods

Just a cute idea. Based on Taylor getting a certain picky eater to try new  things lol . I did write a sequel to this if you're interested. I died at Jason phrasing it as "introducing" travis new foods like the way one would with a baby new to solids. Pls like and comment. 

In the spacious kitchen, the smell of something delicious wafted through the air, teasing the nostrils of anyone who dared to venture near. Taylor was the mastermind behind the tantalizing aroma, her hands a blur as she chopped, sautéed, and seasoned with a grace that could only come from hours of practice and a deep love for cooking. She had always been a bit of a foodie, eager to try new flavors and textures, always cooking for loved ones. But her boyfriend Travis was the complete opposite. Known for his pickiness, Travis had a long list of foods he wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, and onions were at the top. Despite this, Taylor was determined to coax him into trying something new.

With a hopeful smile, she plated the meal she had meticulously prepared. It was a colorful array of grilled vegetables, each one perfectly charred and seasoned to perfection. The centerpiece was a tender steak, resting atop a bed of golden mashed potatoes, with a secret sauce that had been simmering on the stove for hours. Taylor knew that Travis had a soft spot for meat and potatoes, so she figured this was the perfect opportunity to sneak in some of those dreaded onions. They were finely minced and hidden within the sauce, their pungency mellowed by the rich flavors of garlic and wine. She hoped the combination would win him over.

When Travis entered the room, his eyes lit up at the sight of the familiar dish. "Steak and potatoes? You know the way to a man's heart," he said with a chuckle, giving her a quick peck on the cheek. She playfully rolled her eyes and hoped that her culinary trickery would pay off.

They sat down at the dinner table, which was set with their favorite plates and a bottle of wine that had been waiting for a special occasion. Travis took a generous bite of the steak, closing his eyes to savor the flavor. Taylor held her breath, watching him intently. His expression didn't falter as he swallowed, and she took it as a good sign. "This is amazing, babe," he said, reaching for his glass of wine.

Encouraged, Taylor decided it was time to reveal her secret ingredient. "You know, I put a little twist on the sauce tonight," she said, her voice light. "It's got something extra special in it."

Travis looked up from his plate, his curiosity piqued. "Oh, really? What'd you do?" He took another bite, his eyes searching hers for a clue.

Taylor grinned mischievously. "I added some onions. Just a tiny bit. They're barely noticeable, I promise." She watched him, ready to pounce if he made a face or took a dramatic sip of his wine. But instead, he chewed thoughtfully, then nodded.

"Hmm," Travis said, tilting his head. "It does taste different. But good."

Taylor felt a surge of victory. "Really? You can't even taste them?"

"Nope," Travis replied, digging in for another mouthful. "It's all just part of the steak's deliciousness."

Her heart raced. Could she have done it? Could she have actually gotten him to eat onions without throwing a fit? Taylor decided to press her luck. "You're not just saying that, right?"

Travis paused, a forkful of potatoes and steak hovering in the air. He scrutinized her, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Why would I lie about that?" He popped the food into his mouth and chewed deliberately, then swallowed. "It's good. Really. Maybe you've just got some magic touch."

Taylor couldn't believe it. Her heart swelled with pride and a hint of astonishment. She had done it. She had managed to get Travis to eat onions, the bane of his existence, and not only that, but he liked it. She felt like she had just scored a point in the culinary equivalent of a high-stakes poker game.
