Chapter 12

Cass found herself back at the spot where they had summoned Rio, getting the feeling that they had forgotten to do something. Cass's eyes going wide and she started backing away as familiar animals started crawling out of the hole, the Salem 7.

"Oh no, no, no, no."

Cass whispered to herself as they shifted back into their human forms.

"Cassandra, Agatha Harkness."

Cass heard them whisper, Cass turning around to bolt but one of them was behind her and then they were all around her. Cass jolted awake just as Lilia did the same, they seem to have had the same premonition.

"They're coming. We have to go."

The pair said at the same time, Cassandra's jolting having woken Alice up with her.

"What?"

Alice asked a little groggy, noticing a very panicked look on Cass's face, it could not be good.

"The summoning spell. We left the door open."

Lilia explained, Cass slightly nodded her head she was absolutely terrified of what was going to happen if they caught up to them.

"What are you talking about? What did you see?"

Alice asked the both of them, as Lilia and Cass stood up, they looked at each other and knew they were in massive trouble.

"Go on Cassandra. Tell them."

Cass heard Rio speak up causing her to jump a little, letting out a shaky breath before answering the question Alice had asked.

"The Salem seven."

Cass answered, Jen gasped, teen looked a little confused, he had no idea that the cloaked figures that he had seen before they went down the road were the Salem seven.

"Scary black dresses?"

Teen asked Cass nodded, she was absolutely terrified, the Salem seven blamed her for not stopping her mother, even though she was just a child when it happened, they wanted her dead as much as they wanted Agatha dead.

"When Cass's mother killed her original coven-"

"By stealing their power."

Jen interrupted Lilia's explanation, Jen had learnt nothing about Agatha from Cassandra's trip down memory lane.

"Because her own mother tried to have her killed."

"Because grandma dearest tried to have her killed."

Cass and Rio defended Agatha at the same time, Rio smiled at the girl, but Cass was too terrified to smile back.

"Are you two really trying to defend a noted serial killer, you creepy lurkers?"

Jen asked them, Cass's eye glowing but Jen didn't care these people were after them thanks to Agatha and Cassandra.

"Come on, someone finish the story."

Alice exclaimed, Cass was in no state to retell this story, she could hear them coming and she wanted to get out of there fast.

"When Agatha, and a little bit of Cass, murdered their sister witches, Agatha spared their young children."

Lilia said, Cass had no clue she had helped in these people's demise until years later, other than the death of grandma, but that was because she was hurting her mother.

"Yeah, and then they became a feral hive-minded coven bent on revenge."

Rio interjected again, Cass could hear her mother racing towards them, she had obviously had a run in with one of them just now.
