"For the last time I don't want to do this. I'm not going to let you do this."

Cass told her mother as they sat in the food court of a shopping mall eating corn dogs. Cass was not going to let her harm Alice, She didn't care about the others but she promised someone that she would always protect Alice.

"Im not even going to ask what you two are arguing about. But what does this witch look like?"

Teen said, not wanting to delve into the family drama that was unfolding before them.

"She's a blood witch."

Agatha said just before taking a bite out of her corn dog, Cass feeling she was more equipped to tell the teen about Alice.

"What's a blood witch?"

The teen asked as Cass finished her corn dog, Cass finished chewing before answering the teen's question.

"She's the daughter of a witch, and also daughter of the famous singer Lorna Wu."

Cass told the boy, who gasped he had clearly heard of Lorna, and was about to fanboy over them.

"Lorna Wu! Like Lorna Wu and the coral shore?"

The boy asked Cass cringing at the mention of the band name but the teen didn't notice.

"Take it easy."

Agatha told the boy who very much didn't listen,

"She wrote the most famous version of the ballad. My mum went to see her last tour right before she died RIP. I bid on a limited edition signed LP of the ballad, but it cost more than I make in a whole summer at the Hokey Pokey Bowl."

The boy rambled, Cass remembering how she had a signed copy specifically addressed to her and she wasn't going to sell it anytime soon.

"I don't ever want to hear those words paired together again."

Agatha told the boy, Cass nodded along, before she heard a whispering from the back of her mind.

"You have to find them. You have to find them and bring me back."

The familiar voice whispered, Cass starting to panic, looking around for the source of the voice which only made it laugh.

"I'm not out there silly, I'm in here."

The voice told her causing Cass to fall off her chair in a panic, she didn't want to believe that she was back.

"Cassie, honey are you alright?"

Agatha asked snapping Cass out of her trance, Cass not aware that moments before her mum had been in a trance of her own.

"Yeah I'm fine."

Cass said wiping the tears from her face, at putting a brave face on Agatha knew her daughter was lying but she wasn't going to press her now.

"Let's go."

Agatha said, leaving her corn dog and milkshake unfinished on the table. Cass picked up her rubbish though, while the teen picked up Agatha's.

The trio stood waiting in a store that was very on brand aesthetic wise for the teen and Cass, Cass actually taking some time to look around finding a few things she wanted to try on but mother was a bit to task oriented.

"We're not doing this I will not let you do this to her I made I promise."

Cass told her mother as the finally spotted Alice, the teen still oblivious to what was going on.
