💚Death's hand in mine-part 2🩵
"You should have waited for Lilia to pick that deck of cards up you idiot. I mean that in the most loving way possible, but you are an idiot."
Cass told the boy who kind of shot her a glare as Agatha cackled.
"Alright can you stop, we need to get to it."
Cass said as she turned to face her laughing mother, who didn't look like she was stopping any time soon punching her in the shoulder.
"Ow that hurt, Cass."
Agatha complained like she was a little kid causing Cass to roll her eyes.
"Good. Now let's focus up."
Cass told her mother, Agatha sticking her tongue out, Billy just thought how childish these two were.
"Billy you read for Agatha."
Cass told the boy who begrudgingly nodded,
"No time like the present."
Agatha said neither of them deciding to sit down so Cass had to tell them.
"Sit your asses down the pair of you or so help me I'll make you."
Cass threatened the pair quickly sitting down Cass rolled her eyes it wasn't that hard for them to just sit down without her asking.
"The horse drawn carri-"
The boy was cut off by the sound of Cass's laugh,
"The horse drawn carriage. That's a good one, but it's actually the chariot."
Cass said laughing, Agatha looking towards her daughter getting increasingly concerned about the girl.
"She's right. It is literally written on the card."
Agatha said trying to get her mind off what was going down in Cass's head.
"Right. So, obviously you're leaving somewhere behind, and you have sphinxes with you, and they represent your..."
Billy said, Cass trying to stifle her laughter as the boy essentially described what was depicted on the card.
"Your mysteriousness."
The boy finished Cass wasn't able to hold in her laughter anymore, cackling at the boy's answer to that card.
"You have a real gift."
Both the Harkness's said at the same time, Cass through laughter while Agatha maintained a straight face.
"This card hasn't really come up much for me."
The boy defended, cass laughing a little more she hadn't really stopped laughing since they started this and it was starting to worry the other's.
"Wait, don't."
Cass managed to get out but it was too late the boy had put the card down, a sword falling from the roof, everyone looking up to see the roof was covered in swords.
"Well this is going to fun. Try another and maybe don't mess it up this time."
Cass told the boy but she knew the only time the swords would stop falling was when Lilia did it.
"Okay I'll try another one."
Billy said pulling out another card, flipping it to face the Harkness pair.
"Seven of swords."
The boy said, Cass shaking her head, it was seven of swords reversed.
"At least you're on theme."
