💚Familiar by my side- part 2🩵
"Alice. I can't believe you're here."
Cass sobbed, despite knowing the woman couldn't hear her, at the very least it was nice to see Alice's face again. Cass knew that Alice loved being a cop, that was the longest job the woman had held down, and she was good at it but the fact that she was the first responder to William or now Billy's accident shocked her.
"She can't hear you, remember."
The sound of Billy's voice came from inside the woman's head, she laughed a little before wiping tears from her face.
"I know. I miss her so much though."
Cass said back to the boy, not bothering to do it in her mind because no one could hear her anyway.
"Okay. Don't move him, there is an ambulance on the way."
Cass heard Alice voice for the first time since her mother killed her, tears once again streaming down Cass's face not like they really stopped anyway.
But before Cass could take in what little she was going to get of Alice the pair was transported to the hospital, Cass still crying as the boy was getting checked out. The boy started at Cass as this happened, the doctor asking him questions occasionally looking over to see what the boy was looking at but he saw nothing. All Cass remembers from rewatching this memory was her vision being blurred by tears and the doctor asking the boy questions that she didn't pay much attention to, she had lost Alice again and she was devastated.💚🩵
By the time Cass had finally calmed down the boy was back at what the parents called home. Cass remembered why she was here, why she was in Billy's memory, to find out why the boy had found them and how, cause Cass was kind of curious. Billy looked around confused, still not nor was he ever going to remember this house at least not from before the accident. Cass put her hand on the boy's shoulder,
"You got this Billy. Also I'm sorry for that breakdown you had to watch me have."
Cass apologised to the boy who gave her a soft smile back before continuing to play out this memory. They could both hear the voices of the boy's "parents" as he looked at pictures on the wall and then a mirror, seeing that he was no longer in his body but someone else's.
"Okay actually this is a waste of time let's get to the part where you find us, or maybe a little bit before I need to know how you did it."
Cass said kind of impatiently, Billy nodded he kind of wasn't in the mood to rewatch this time of his life either, Cass jumping them forward to where they were in an attic with another boy.
"That's my boyfriend."
Billy whispered to Cass, the boy turning around almost as if he heard him say it in a memory.
"Who ya talking to?"
The boy asked, Cass going wide eyed, the boy had heard them even though they were looking at memories.
"No one. Anyway let's get back to what i was telling you."
Billy successfully steered the conversation away from the fact that there was another invisible person in the room with them.
"Okay."
The boy says kind of sceptically, but didn't push it any further.
"So I compiled a dossier."
Billy started, the other boy immediately forgetting that he thought Billy was talking to someone else moments earlier.
"Of course you have."
