Reconnection- Jake x Tom

Jake just pouted again at Tom's comment, rolling his eyes. He was once again frustrated by how indifferent Tom was being.

Jake: Yeah, I know... but why can't you just agree with me for once...
Tom: Fine.... Whatever, I don't care... I'm going back inside

Tom put his hand on the tree and stood up. Jake's heart dropped a bit when Tom seemed to ignore him again. Watching him stand up had him feeling a bit concerned that Tom was going to just ditch him there.

Jake; Wait- where are you going...?
Tom: to the cabin... Why?

Tom crossed his arms. Jake just stayed quiet for a moment, staring down at the ground.

Jake: I just… I’m worried that… you’re gonna just ignore me again like you did last night…
Tom: I-... I'm not going to ignore you, I just want to calm down...

Tom leaned down and carried Jake, wrapping his arms around Jake's thighs and bringing him close to his chest so that he was carrying Jake, bridal style. Jake looked relieved when Tom said he wasn’t going to ignore him again. He wrapped his arms around Tom’s neck instinctively as he picked him up.

Jake: Okay… a- at least you’ll be back in a bit… right?
Tom: Nope! I'm taking you with me!

Tom smirked, he kept holding onto Jake as he started running towards the cabin. Jake couldn’t help but chuckle as Tom picked him up and started running.

Jake: T- Tom-! Be careful! I don’t wanna get dropped!

Tom chuckled, he paused for a minute and pretended to drop Jake.

Tom: whoops!

Jake panicked and tightened his grip as Tom paused. Just hearing the word “whoops” had him freaked out thinking that he really was going to drop him.

Jake: TOM! NOO- DON’T!

Tom laughed, he kept running with Jake.

Tom: Okay, okay! I'm sorry!
Jake: You- you can’t just do that! You made me think I was actually gonna get dropped-
Tom: I wouldn't drop you! Trust me!

Tom started slowing down as they walked into the cabin. Jake was still slightly on edge but he did trust that Tom wouldn’t drop him.

Jake: I do trust you! Just- don’t ever do that again, it scared me a lot when you said ‘whoops’..
Tom: Heh okay...

Tom chuckled, he walked into the bedroom and laid down. Jake still had his arms wrapped around Tom’s neck. He looked up at him as they entered the bedroom.

Jake: You’re not gonna try to pull any stunts on me, right...?
Tom: of course I won't~ I promise, Jake~

Tom chuckled, he crawled on top of Jake. Jake chuckled and laid down on his back as Tom got on top of him. He let go of his neck in order to put his hands on Tom’s face, gently cupping his face in his hands.

Jake: You promiseee?

Tom Chuckled, he laid on top of Jake and wrapped his arms around Jake's waist.

Tom: Of course I dooo~

Jake let out a giggle, feeling Tom’s arms around his waist made him smile more. He leaned up and gave him a soft kiss.

Jake: You better be telling the trutheeee~

Tom softly blushed as he chuckled and buried his face into Jake's small chest, he looked up at Jake.

Tom: Imma sleep like this tonight~

Jake felt his heart skip a beat when Tom buried his face into his chest. He let out another soft giggle and started running a hand through his hair, gently combing through it with his fingers.

Tom: Okay fine, if it’s comfy for you. Just don’t suffocate me in my sleep, alrighty?

Tom rolled his eyes, he kissed Jake softly and laid back down on top of him.

Tom: Night, Jake~
Jake: Niiight, Tom~

He wrapped his arms around him and closed his eyes, slowly drifting into a peaceful sleep.
