A Cozy Movie Night

The living room was dimly lit, the glow from the television casting soft shadows on the walls as Billie, Y/N, and Finneas settled in for a movie night. A light breeze rustled the curtains, adding to the cozy atmosphere.

Billie chose a lighthearted rom-com, knowing it would be perfect for the mood. Y/N nestled against her side, feeling the warmth radiating from Billie. They both grabbed blankets, and Finneas plopped down on the couch across from them, his phone in hand.

As the movie began, Y/N found herself lost in the lighthearted banter and romantic tension unfolding on the screen. But every now and then, she glanced at Billie, who was engrossed in the film but also stealing little glances back at Y/N. It made Y/N's heart flutter.

“You should’ve seen that guy’s face when he walked in on them,” Finneas commented, his voice teasing as he shot them a knowing glance. “He looked like he was going to faint.”

Billie laughed, the sound brightening Y/N’s heart. “That’s totally how I’d react!” she said, leaning in closer to Y/N. “I mean, can you imagine?”

Y/N giggled, leaning into Billie a little more. “Maybe I’d faint too. You know, if I were to catch you kissing someone.”

Billie grinned, her eyes sparkling. “Oh, so you think I’m that impressive?”

“Definitely,” Y/N replied, her heart racing. She met Billie’s gaze, feeling a wave of warmth wash over her.

As the movie progressed, Y/N noticed Finneas was unusually quiet, his focus more on his phone than the film. Every few moments, she caught him smiling at something on the screen, his eyes lighting up. Curiosity piqued, she leaned closer to Billie and whispered, “What’s Finneas looking at? He seems really into whatever it is.”

Billie glanced over at her brother, a smile creeping onto her face. “I think he’s texting someone. You know how he gets—always has to keep up with his fans.”

Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Or maybe he’s texting someone special,” she teased, unable to resist.

Finneas looked up, catching their conversation. “What’s that about?” he asked, feigning innocence.

“Oh, nothing. Just that you seem a bit too happy for just texting fans,” Billie said, smirking.

“Maybe I’m just a happy guy,” he replied, but the playful glint in his eyes gave him away.

Y/N laughed, enjoying the lighthearted banter between them. She loved these moments, the easy camaraderie that flowed between the three of them. It made her feel like she truly belonged.

As the movie hit a particularly romantic scene, Billie turned to Y/N with a mischievous smile. “What would you do if I kissed you like that?” she asked, her tone playful yet sincere.

Y/N felt her cheeks flush. “I’d probably turn bright red and forget how to breathe,” she admitted, biting her lip.

“Sounds about right,” Billie said, leaning in closer, her breath warm against Y/N’s skin. “But I think you’d like it.”

“Maybe I would,” Y/N replied, her heart racing. She could feel the chemistry crackling between them, but she was also aware of Finneas watching with an amused smile.

Finneas cleared his throat, breaking the moment. “Don’t mind me. Just over here, trying to enjoy the movie and not witness the most awkward romantic tension ever.”

Billie rolled her eyes but laughed. “You’re the worst, you know that?”

“Yeah, but I’m your worst,” he shot back, grinning at them.

As the movie continued, Y/N found herself stealing glances at Billie, who was completely absorbed in the story. She admired the way Billie’s eyes lit up with every funny line, the way her laughter was contagious. It felt like a dream to be there, curled up next to her, sharing this moment.

Every so often, they would share popcorn, their fingers brushing against each other. Y/N couldn’t help but savor those small moments, the innocent intimacy that felt so special.

Finally, as the credits rolled, Finneas put his phone down, a satisfied smile still plastered on his face. “Okay, that was cute,” he said, looking at both of them. “What’s next? A musical number?”

“Maybe,” Billie replied, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “But first, let’s talk about how adorable you two are.”

Y/N felt her cheeks heat up at Billie’s words, glancing at Finneas who looked equally amused. “We’re just friends,” she said quickly, but her voice was playful.

“Sure, just friends who happen to cuddle and make out,” Finneas teased, raising an eyebrow.

“Just shut up, Finneas,” Billie said, but there was a grin on her face, clearly enjoying the teasing.

As the three of them continued to joke and banter, Y/N felt a sense of contentment settle over her. She realized that moments like these—filled with laughter, warmth, and undeniable chemistry—were what she had been longing for.

“Hey, do you think we can celebrate tomorrow after the song release?” Y/N asked suddenly, her heart racing at the idea.

“Absolutely!” Billie exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. “We can do a mini party! Just us three!”

“I’m in,” Finneas said, his enthusiasm matching theirs. “And maybe we can invite a few close friends to join in the fun?”

Y/N nodded, feeling a rush of excitement. “That sounds perfect!”

As they all started to brainstorm ideas for their little celebration, Y/N couldn’t shake the feeling that everything was falling into place. This was her family, her friends, and whatever was blossoming between her and Billie felt like the beginning of something beautiful.

They continued chatting, the playful teasing and light atmosphere filling the room with warmth, reminding Y/N that even in the midst of uncertainty, there was always joy to be found. And with Billie and Finneas by her side, she felt ready to face whatever came next.
