Denji and Power were on the ground,battered and beaten,the ground had cuts digging through it,mini craters and blood lying around the place,while Ren stood besides Kishibe,watching the two panting for air,"mm...alright" Kishibe wipes the drop of blood on his cheek,"your moves just got a perfect score,from now on,your training doesn't need to be daily,we'll do it once a week"
"Yaaay..." Denji cheers weakly,"hooray..." Power mutters,the pain flowing in her body as she sits up,Denji following right after her
"Keep a cool head even when you have a battle high,always keep your weapons and the situation in mind" Kishibe looks to Ren,who looks right at him,"I don't have much to say to you,you're okay"
"Oh,well uhh..thanks!" Ren gives him a thumbs up,"you should thank me instead,Boy!" Venom's head appears,using one of his thin tendrils to smack Ren in the head,"in light of your training,you're ready for real combat tomorrow" Kishibe says before taking out his flask,drinking from it as usual,"real combat?" Power asks,we're heading out to capture the ones that ambushed you that day,samurai sword and snake girl,it'll be the new division 4's debut" Kishibe sighs after taking a big swig from his flask,"if the mission fails,Division 4 is done for,and if that happens,you three will be put down via a real battle with me"
"Wait...WHAT?" Ren panics,"you can't be serious!"
"I am" Kishibe nods,"I'm conflicted,actually...one hand,I'd be rid of you for good,and i wouldn't have two annoying parasites in my house,on the other hand,you dying would mean Makima would no longer cover my expenses,and I'm really liking this new whiskey I bought"
"Who are you calling a Parasite you...you...old human!?" Venom's head tried to Bite Kishibe,but Ren was trying his hardest to pull him away
"Well...if that happens,I'll letcha go without killing you!" Denji says with a smug expression,"huh?" Kishibe looks at him,confused as to where he got this level of confidence from,"cuz you made me stronger,now I can kill more devils,and If I do that,I got a date with Makima!"
"A date? How do you get a date with someone?" Ren asks Denji as he tries pull Venom away from Kishibe,"APOLOGIZE,OLD HUMAN!" Venom yells at Kishibe,trying his hardest to bite Kishibe's head off,"its like a play date,kid...but for grown ups" Kishibe explains

Ren blinks a few times,the image of Makima and Denji going to play at some playground haunting his mind,"oh,we'll play alright,but it's a different kind of playtime!" Denji giggle in silly fashion,"you see,Ren,dates are when boyfriends and girlfriends hang out and do fun things together,like going to the Café,sitting down,talking together,holding hands,and even kiss!" Denji smiles while explaining,"you gotta do it with a special someone,my special someone is Makima!"
"Huh...I kinda get it now" Ren nods,but then,it dawned on him,"Wait...Reze is my friend...and she's a girl,we talk at the Café alot,she grabbed my wrist that one time...that counts as holding hands,right? And she even gave me a kiss on the cheek...does...that mean I've been going out on dates with Reze the whole time?" Ren's face starts to blush,looking like a red tomato,"hm? Why is all the blood going to your face,tiny human?" Power senses the way all the blood in Ren's body going to his face,heating it up like crazy,"uhh...nothing..." Ren shakes his head,"Wait...whats going on? Whys my face getting so red?" Ren asks himself,it's completely uncontrollable for some reason,"hm...must be all that training" Kishibe shrugs,"Alright...let's go home,Ren"
"Y-Yeah,home..." Ren nods,"umm...bye guys!"
"Bye,Ren!" Denji waves off to Ren

"Wow...they actually said goodbye this time!" Ren mutters to Kishibe as they walk home,"well...looks like even devils can warm up to you,kid" Kishibe says while putting a hand on Ren,"now...who is she?"

"I know that look,kid,you may not know it,but puberty is starting to hit you like a freight train,those eyes of yours tell me everything" Kishibe's hand tightens on Ren's shoulder,"so...you're gonna tell me?"
"Uhh...f-fine...look,there's this Café I'm starting to frequent,there's this girl called Reze,she's older than me,of course...she works there,and well...she's...really nice,you know? No one has been this nice to me in a while"
"Oh really?" Kishibe raises an eyebrow,"at least tell me she's pretty,kid,I gotta know If you can still be saved,don't want you liking an ugly chick just cus she's nice to you"
"Umm...of course she's...pretty...she has those green eyes and uhh...this purple-ish hair and all,and uhh...yeah!" Ren explains while Kishibe studies him,he can see the stars in Ren's eyes as he tells him about Reze,"dammit,kid...she's got you wrapped around her fingers,and she probably didn't even mean to"
"Uhh...what...do you mean?" Ren froze for a second,blinking a few times
"Dont tell me you actually think she's into you,kid" Kishibe sighs,pinching the bridge of his nose,"you're a damn half-pint,and she's a grown up,at best,you're like her little brother"
"Hm...brother?" Ren rubs his chin,Kishibe expected the kid's heart to be absolutely shattered to pieces,but it's not,Ren is just...clueless,"I mean...I never had a sister before,so I wouldn't know what it's like!"
"Okay,how about this,how does she act around you?"
"Well,she's nice,she likes to ruffle my hair alot...she um...sometimes calls me cute...but it comes across as...light-hearted or something,and yesterday,She gave me a kiss on the cheek!"
"Pfft,that's it?" Kishibe rolls his eyes and scoffs,"its not that serious,Ren,she just thinks you're a cute kid,girls like to dote on people younger than them"
"Oh...i see" Ren nods,continuing to walk around with Kishibe,who's hand loosened a little on Ren's shoulder,"you don't seem too bummed about it"
