Author's note:Hello everyone,before we start,i have a question for those that are still reading,I think it would mean alot if you answered,how did you find this fan fic? And what's keeping you coming back for more? Is it my depiction of the characters? Is it Ren? Is it Venom? Do let me know,because it will help this story out alot if I know what my readers like,now with that out of the way,on with the show

Ren had gone along with Kishibe towards public safety's headquarters,it was his first time in there,it felt like a big office space,everyone was dressed up in suits,drinking coffee,and talking about how much they hate their lives,adult stuff,really...but then again,devil hunting is not exactly the most fun job out there
"So...whats it gonna be for today?" Ren asks Kishibe,curious as to what they're supposed to be doing for the day,"everyone's been breathing a little easier after knowing the Rhino Devil has been rid of,if we're not needed,I'll be using the time to train you,can't have you relying on Venom all the time" Kishibe explains as he leads Ren around the headquarters,everyone stood at attention as they saw Kishibe walk past him,it seems some level of respect is earned when you've been around a dangerous business as long as Kishibe has,an old man In a profession where men die young.
Kishibe enters Makima's office without knocking or even asking for permission to come in,Ren was a bit confused as to why he did what he did,but he followed him inside anyway,noticing that Makima wasn't alone,inside were Aki,Himeno,Denji and Power,who all turned to look at them,"Hello,Kishibe,Ren...do you two need something?" Makima smiles at the pair as they walk in,Kishibe was also Greeted by Himeno and Aki,its clear they hold a great of respect towards him,Denji and Power didn't do or say anything,they had no idea who he was...yet
"If you won't be needing the Kid,I'll be taking him"
"Actually,I was thinking he could come along with them on patrol " Makima looks at the group in her office with a smile,"he could get to know them and also learn a thing or two,no?"
"Fine by me,Even better if you ask me" Kishibe shrugs,he wasn't exactly figthing to keep Ren with him,he'll just take time away from him
"Then it's settled,Aki-Kun,you'll be taking Ren along with you,is that okay?" Makima looked at Aki,"of course,Makima-San" he nods,Aki was actually looking forward to this,he wanted to know just how much Ren has been affected by the Parasite Devil,and to see if he's anything like Denji and Power
"Aha,the tiny human will accompany us on our journey,as Power's servant,you're expected to carry my luggage on the way!" Power grins as she looks at Ren,her hands on her hips in a determined pose
"You don't have any luggage to begin with!" Denji facepalms,"just forget about her,Ren"
"Hey there,Kiddo,I'll be looking forward to working with you" Himeno walks over to Ren with a smile,who was a bit startled,Himeno took notice,remembering that his first impression of her wasn't the best,they got off on the wrong foot,after all,"Right,sorry about last night,kid,I tend to get a little...handsy when drunk,I hope you're not scared or anything!" Himeno chuckles and pats his head,which made Ren a little at ease
"Its...okay,you didn't have much influence of what you were doing" Ren nods,forgiving her immediately
"You!" Venom's head appears out of Ren's body,which surprised everyone except Makima and Kishibe,Aki was about to step in out of fear of Venom doing anything,but Kishibe stopped him,nodding only once at him,which reassured Aki Enough,"you must be one of those,um...what are they called,boy?" Venom looks at Ren while pointing at Himeno one of his tendrils,"the little people inside the television,the ones with hooks for hands,and wood for legs,they sail the seas looking for treasure!"
"Um...pirates?" Ren raises an eyebrow
"YES! PIRATES!" Venom looks at Himeno with excitement in his eyes,"You must be a pirate,you will share your treasure with us!" He says with a big grin while two of his tendrils rubbed against each other as if they were hands,almost demanding to have the supposed treasure shared,Venom usually doesn't show himself in such situations,but once he saw Himeno with that eyepatch of hers,he couldn't contain his excitement
"Hehehe...hate to break it to ya,but I'm no pirate" Himeno chuckles a little at Venom's excitement,"what? But...the thing on your eye,pirates wear it too" Venom had a look of disbelief,it's like the whole world was crashing down on him,"they wear it to cover up for their lost eye,you know!"
"Oh...I see..." Venom frowns,"no treasure then..." he mutters as he slowly retreats back into Ren
"WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?" Power yells "A TALKING HEAD!"
"Woah...is that the devil you're contracted with or something?" Denji asks,astonished after seeing Venom pop his head out of Ren's body
"I'm leaving" Kishibe walks out the door,"my work here is done"
"I'm sure Ren will tell you all about it later,now go on,all of you,you still have a patrol to take care of" Makima dismisses the group,who all walk out of her office
"What was that just now,kiddo?" Himeno asks Ren as they exit Makimas office,"oh...that's Venom,he-"
"It's the Parasite Devil" Aki cuts off Ren,talking as if he's correcting the boy,"much like a real Parasite,it eats off anything and everything,including the host"
"Parasite? PARASITE?" A bit of black mass forms around Ren's neck,Venom used it to talk to Aki by creating smaller eyes and teeth,"that's rude of you to say,apologize now,Human!"
"I don't have to apologize to you,Devil" Aki rolls his eyes as they walk out of the headquarters,not wanting to interact with Venom much
"APOLOGIZE!" Venom glares at Aki
"Leave him alone,Venom,hes not in the mood!" Ren covers the part of neck where Venom was in,but he then felt a sharp sting of pain in the palm of his hand,he looked to find that Venom bit a chunk out of it,before Ren could panic however,the missing flesh was being replaced,almost as if his hand is healing itself,before he knew it,his hand was back to normal,as if Venom never bit anything out of it to begin with,"huh...neat"
