Amanda - April 20th

I headed out of the building, full of delicious food and full to the brim I stood where I was for a little bit. I had no clue where I was gonna go, it's not like we had a house to stay in and I didn't have any money yet to stay at a hotel. So I started walking down the road waiting for Jack to get back and find me. I walked around the corner and near the big shopping center, but it was too crowded so I left and found a bench to sit down. I picked up my phone and started scrolling through my photos when a familiar figure walked past me. "Jodie?" I spoke a little too loud and many people turned to look at the girl sitting on the bench shouting. The family turned around and a little girl peeked from behind her mother. "Amanda?" Her scared face is now gone and she's smiling from ear to ear. "AMANDA!!" She shouts and runs toward me and gives the biggest hug her tiny body is able to. Or, not so tiny since she's grown up a lot. "Hii! How have you been Jodie? You've grown up so much! How tall are you? 6 foot?" I pick her up and put her on my shoulders. She puts her tiny hands on my face and lowers her head tilted downward. "I'm not that big, I'm almost 4 foot!" She giggles and I jump up and down with her and she shrieks with joy and pride. "Hello Amanda!" Her mom walks toward me and gives me a heart warming smile, their family is known for their lovely smiles that can make the saddest of people happy. "Hi Mrs. Allison! Hows it going?" I drop Jodie and she grabs my hand as we walk towards the lady in front of us. "I'm doing fine, there's so much we have to catch up on. I would love to invite you to dinner sometime! How did you get back here?" Jodie runs back to her mom and I give her mom a quick hug. "I'm gonna be totally honest, I don't know how we got here, but I would love to take you up on that dinner offer!" Mrs. Allison makes a questioning face. "Jack is here too? Where is he?" I look in all directions and face the happy family again. "I'm not exactly sure, he should be here any-" I'm cut off by a load roar of an engine parked right next to us and there I see another familiar face. "Well speak of the devil, where have you been Jack??"
