Chapter 25: J

Suits were hard to come by, even being the daughter of an Elite in this world. Growing up in that kind of environment, I tired of the source fast, and took out a massive chunk of my fathers money to fund my expedition into the real world. Now, in Trial 4, they had all been pretty easy (especially with my powered suit). Currently, I was in some sort of labyrinth, that also served as a death cup. Only one team could make it out of this trial, so i would either have to be the last person in here, leave and retake it... or die.
So far though, I seemed to be doing good, the only other competitors were surely dead by now, so i'll make my way to the final trial then.
She came out of nowhere, leaving a soft streak behind her. I only wondered "How?" for two seconds before I saw the suit around her body too, before she whipped out a knife and made a swing at my throat. I stepped back just in time, before a felt a searing pain in my shoulder, as a kid from behind me shot again. I moved my head, barely in time again, but i was thrown off balance. These two could barely have been 12, but they worked so in sync, fighting like it was one mind in two people. To regain my balance i threw my foot behind me, but she was too quick, practically teleporting behind me before making a clean slice across my achilles heel. I took a long dagger out but the boy sent out two shots knocking it out of my hand before i could do anything. "Please..." I say. "Please i need to make it out of here"
Neither of them say anything, but the boy raises his gun at my head as I weep a little bit.
