Amanda ~ 9:45
We had been quietly walking around for a while scoping out the area. Mason was in charge of shooting down the drones coming by since he used the sniper. Plus, with the fog and his amazing hiding skills, it made it nearly impossible to see him. We finally made it to the edge of the town before we took a brief stop for Mable and Mason to catch their breaths. "How far have we been running now??" Mable asks as she regains her posture. "Not far, about ten minutes worth. We only have around 15 minutes more to run." With the news I just brought her, she almost collapses from shock but Fitch was there to catch her. "As soon as we get your two points, you guys can run ahead to the safe point." I remind them, and she nods. Mason then walks over to me and grabs my shoulder. "Water for the poor?" He shoves me his empty bottle and I shove him mine. "I didn't take a sip from it anyway." I look back to the group and notion to start walking ahead. Mason stands put staring at the bottle before Fitch calls for him and he joins us. We barely make it into the town before a gut wrenching scream emerges from a nearby house. All of us ducked for shelter, somehow managing to score a point while doing to. "Who do you think that was...?" Mable asks, her face full of worry. "Hey hey it's alright, it's not them. They're too quick witted for them to be shot down this fast. I don't think my words were right but they did enough to at least calm her down a little. "Alright, the first point will go to Mable, since you're holding a point either one of two things will happen. One: you'll be safe from the drones, two: they will target you because you have the point." Mason declares. Fitch and I nod in agreement as we look to Mable. "If it's the first option," I start. "Then all you'll need to worry about is the other players, which shouldn't be a problem." I smile hoping to ease her worry more, and she gives a tiny grin is return. "I can go off myself if need be, so can one of you two stay with her at all times?" I point to Mason and Fitch. Mason raises his hand in the air and drops his smile a little bit. "I can do it." He looks at Fitch who seems to be smiling a little bit, but covers it quickly with a frown. "Awesome. We should start heading towards the place where the last person died, if they had points we could use them." Masons face goes pale with disgust. "You- you what?? Steal from a dead person?! That's horrible!!" He steps back, almost tripping on Mable before regaining his balance. "It's the fastest and safest way to get points Mason." I frown at him a little which gets him to step back even further. I push back Mason and Fitch to grab Mables hand. "You ready?" I grin as her eyes widen with fright. She shakes her head relentlessly but I take her hand and walk forward anyway. The whole group tiptoes towards the building where the scream originated, making sure no one spoke a word. Anytime a drone showed up we would hide. We made it into the building, but nothing was there. "As to be expected I guess." I set my stuff down on the table and set down all the points we gathered. "Thank goodness we found two more points in our hiding spots. That only leaves one more point, my point." I say while handing all of the blue orbs to Mason, Fitch, and Mable. All of them are scared, tired, and in need of a break. "I'll head out myself so none of you are in danger, a token shouldn't be too far from here. Once I get it, I'll signal you guys-" Mason grabs my arm and pulls me towards him. "Yourself??! I thought we were all staying together." He hisses through his teeth. I push back and stand opposite from him. "I can handle myself perfectly fine Mason, have some trust." I retort. He grits his teeth and sits down. "I just think it's unfair for you to be risking your life while we sit back and do nothing. I stare at him and grab my items again. "You guys have already done enough, I'll come back here with a point safe and sound while you guys catch your breath." I smile at Mason, him following with a nod, and I exit the building just as quickly as I had entered it.
