Ch. Sixteen

The first day back to school after all the festivities was extremely sluggish. Even though it had only been two weeks, my body had gotten into the rhythm of waking up at noon, so you can image how grumpy I was. The only thing that made me smile throughout the day was lunch.

Grayson decided to treat me to a nice lunch out at a nearby plaza. We went to a little restaurant that served amazing shawarma and sat and chatted for a bit.

"Are you ready for the school year to end," I asked him. He grinned and nodded enthusiastically.

"My dad's bringing Brenda and I on a cruise in the Carribean. Then to the Mediterranean and finally to Europe. What are your summer plans?"

"Nothing as extravagant as that," I chuckled. "I might just go to New York and then road trip around America to the big tourist cities."

"That still sounds like fun," he remarked. I shrugged. I looked at the time and we both agreed that it was beat to start heading back to school. After paying we walked out to the back parking lot and were off.

"Hey, you still haven't told me any of your after graduation plans," I realized. Grayson squirmed in his seat and I could see the discomfort in his eyes only for a quick second.

"Just the usual, you know," he flashed me the biggest fake smile I had ever seen in my life and then shut up for the rest of the ride. I had thought about prying whatever he was keeping a secret out of him but that wouldnt have been the best idea. I was just going to have to let him tell me on his own time.

"Do you want caramel corn or Smart popcorn," Jacob asked, peeking his head around the shelf dividing the isle. I contemplated my options before going with my trusty caramel corn. Jacob tossed it into the cart and rested the Smart Popcorn back on a random shelf.

"What else do we need," he asked looking down at the grocery list.

"Eggs, milk, cheese, ice cream and skittles," I listed. He nodded and we headed towards the respective sections. As we pulled up to the cheese section, I decided to ask Jacob the question that was burning in my mind since lunch.

"Jacob do you know what Grayson is doing after graduation," I asked. He tossed in two bags of grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese and looked at me funny.

"He hasn't told you yet," he questioned. I shook my head no.

"Sorry sis, but its not my place to tell you," he said before continuing to go get the milk. My shoulders slumped and I sloppily pushed the cart, trailing my brother.

What was Grayson doing that he didn't want me to know of? I thought to myself. I'm his girlfriend, I had the right to know too. What was he trying to hide?

I sighed. I guess I'd have to wait until after school to find out. But that was a good five months away. Ughhh. This wait was going to be the death of me.

A.N.
Hi! I'm kind of back. This is a short chapter because I'm just getting my writing skills back. Plus I don't think that I could add anything else without this chapter being redundant or stupid so sorry about that. Longer chapter next time. I'll try and get the next chapter up by next week but I'm not too sure. We'll have to see. Sorry I was gone for like five months, I lost the interest in writing this book. I'm trying to get back into it now.

Once again, I will go back and correct the whole book when it is finished.

I decided to take out the alternate ending and have on ending and à short épilogue. Two to three more chapters then this book is done. That's all I wanted to brush up on, so yea.

Anywhore, see you next chapter.
