One week. That was all I needed to wait. One week and then I was going to have the best day of my life.

Or at least until next year.

"This is literally my favourite holiday of the year. The only thing I'm not too fond about is how crowded the stores get," I observed. I wasn't even exaggerating when I said there were a million people in this one aisle alone.

Okay, maybe I was just a little but that was beside the point. I was in the mens aisle of Walmart with Naomi and we were shopping for the holiday that was only a week away.

Christmas.

It was December 18, and I still hadn't done any shopping. At all. I had a few presents in mind for the people close to me, but I hadn't actually started buying anything on that list.

"We could have beat all this traffic if you just listened to me and done your shopping two weeks ago," Naomi sang. Two weeks before she had asked me to go shopping with her, but being the procrastinator I was, I just pushed it off until now. Whoops.

"Oh hush, rushed shopping makes the most memorable gifts," I chuckled. I remember a couple years back when I was in such a rush that I picked up a pack of Dentine for Jacob, a pair of hearts and kisses boxers for Dad and a sock (singular) for Mom. It was a mens sock. It had a hole in the toe. Such good presents am I right? Luckily, after that little dilemma, I began looking more carefully at what I was buying.

"Do you think he would like these," I asked, daintily holding a onesie with One Direction on it.

"I think he might be getting mixed signals," Naomi said, raising an eyebrow. I chuckled.

"As a gag present I mean. It would be pretty funny to find that the thing Grayson hates the most is what he thinks I got him," I explained. She thought for a secind and then snickered, probably imagining his shock.

"Definitely something to see," she laughed.

"Wait are you getting me a gag gift too," she asked, wrinkling her nose.

"Nah, just him," I assured, picking up two of the onsies and dropping it into the basket. We kept wandering until we found something that I thought Grayson would appreciate at least. I plopped it into the basket and then we went on to looking for things for Lia, Mia and Kim.

Lia and Mia were pretty easy. We made it a tradition to find weird band shirts for each other, and I had found some at the front of the store. Kim was the real challenge though. I didn't know much about her, so I went with my gut and decided to find something at Louis Vutton for her. Or maybe a Channel perfume. Something fancy and high class.

We rushed over to the cashiers and paid for everything in my basket before heading out and back into the mall. We wandered until we found a store that sold Channel's new perfume. I grabbed a bottle, which was way too overpriced in my opinion, and paid before heading to the food court where Grayson, his dad, my dad and Jacob were waiting on us.

"Hey! How come you two took so long," Grayson asked, pulling me to sit on the chair next to him.

"It's hard being a girl on Christmas yoh know. We're expected to buy the perfect gifts, and there are only so many good things left by this time," I explained theatrically. He rolled his eyes.

"Your fault for shopping so late," he muttered.

"That's what I said," Naomi grinned.

"Oh shut up," I blushed. I rest my bags on the table and a great weight was lifted from my shoulders. Literally, those gifts weighed a lot.
