Ch. Two
After that assembly, I couldn't stay focused on my classes. Honestly, if it hadn't been the first day, I would have been in so much trouble for my lack of attention. The gears in my mind just continued to spin as my plan formed. I knew exactly what I wanted to do to live a memorable senior year. I was going to become the popular girl that my brother and friends always encouraged me to become.
If you had asked me to become popular freshman year, or even this summer, I would have laughed in your face and shot down the suggestion without a second thought. But now, I don't find it to be such an outrageous thing to do. It actually sounds kind of cool if I thought about it enough.
When the bell rang for lunch, I found Lia and Mia at the door that lead to the secluded roof patio that was deemed the seniors hangout years before us. We went over to a big tree in the corner on the area. I laid down on the soft grass and immediately felt at ease.
"You'll never believe who I have in my homeroom," Lia sang as she played with her hair.
"Luke Hemmings," I guessed sarcastically.
"Oh My Sweetness really," Mia squealed, joining into my sarcastic scheme. We both laughed as Lia shot us her best death glare. She was horrible at them because she could never contain her laughter and it just made her face red and puffed out.
"No, Kyle Walter," she said and squealed happily. I grinned at her.
"Really? Did he get hot over the summer or something," I asked. Last time I checked, Kyle was not someone Lia would squeal over.
"Definitely! He is like, perfect now," she sighed dreamily.
"Are you talking about me," Jacob said from behind her with his three best friends in tow.
"No, she finally sees you for who you really are and has moved on," I chuckled. He wrinkled his nose at me and sat down with Grayson, Matthew and Colton. They all shot me bright smiles and I did the same.
Meet the rest of my brother's inner circle: Colton Lakes and Matthew Tyne. Colton has tousled light brown hair, and brown eyes. He has an extremely sweet personality and is by far the most amazing person my brother has made the decision to be friends with. He gets along with just about everyone he meets, and my mom just used to love him. Today he was wearing a black Nirvana muscle tee (he has great taste in music, I know), brown cargo shorts and a pair of Nikes.
Matthew had deep brown hair and medium brown eyes. He was really attractive in a very mysterious way. Today he was wearing a plain white t-shirt, black skinny jeans and a pair of Timberlands. He was one good looking guy. I would tell you more personality wise about him but he has a very reserved personality. We aren't the best of friends so I can't really tell you much about him.
"So what's up sis," Jacob asked. I gave him a thumbs up and sarcastic smile.
"I'm stuck with Mr Luis for homeroom tomorrow and the rest of today," I complained.
"Well, at least you get to be stuck with me," Colton sang. I laughed.
"Me too," Grayson added. I gave him a tight smile and nodded. I had to play nice with him. He was a part of the master plan I had concocted.
"So guess what I've decided," I said, looking over to Mia and Lia again.
"What," they asked in sync. I rolled my eyes and continued.
"I am going to embrace popularity this year," I said proudly. The both shrieked happily, but then I heard Grayson and Jacob snicker. I shot them both a glare.
