Thirty seven

Hailey remembered the night they had to sleep in the dining hall. She was asleep next to Harry and he was wide awake listening as he was wanting to speak to Sirius Black and why does he want him. Putting his arm around Hailey, he fell asleep. She was the only way he could actually go to sleep.

Turning, the blonde looked at him. "Harry." She whispered. "It's okay."

"I know." He tells her. 'Go back to sleep."

Turning back around, Hailey fell asleep with Harry who also fell asleep. He kept his arm around her as she snuggled closer to him. He smiled as he kissed her head and fell asleep. In the shadows, Sirius saw them and knew, it won't be long till he meets Harry and tells him the truth. That is all he asks for.

Waking up, Hailey knew they were going to see Hargrid. Especially knowing today is Buckbeaks death. She didn't say much as this was going to bother her more than anything.

Harry reached out for Hailey's hand as he knew she was upset about it. Squeezing it Hailey looked at Buckbeak with a sad smile. "Hailey, come on."

"Harry..."

"Go on, Hailey. They're coming."

Harry dragged her to the hay as they hid. Hermione looked at her sister. They heard people and looked. Harry wrapped Hailey in his arms as they watched.

Hailey turned her head into Harry's chest as the axe came down cutting Buckbeak's head off. Hailey let her tears fall as she was so hurt by this. They stood up and ran back to the castle.

Harry stopped Hailey from going with her sister. "Hailey?"

"Why did Malloy lie? He was the one who provoked Buckbeak and looked at what happened. He is dead because of him."

"I know, but you need to calm down. I don't want you getting into too much trouble. After all, we are close to figuring out what happened that night."

"We need to speak to Sirius himself. It's dangerous, but that's all we can do."Hailey tells them. "Come on, let's go."

Hailey nodded and followed him. She saw Draco before walking up to him as he was bullying her sister. "Hey!" She says causing Malloy to look at him. "Shut up."

Harry watched as she punched him. Hermione watched the three run off causing Hailey to hold a proud smile. "Nice punch."

Later that night, Hailey walked to Harry and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm here. Always will."

"I know, but I have this fear that I'm going to lose you." He confesses. "You are my best friend and girlfriend. I don't think I want anything happening to you."

Hailey smiled as she kissed his head. "I'm not going anywhere without you." She tells him. "We're a team."

Harry smiled as he stayed in her arms looking outside. Sirius maybe near, but he was ready for anything because of Hailey Granger.
