Chapter - 31

Jungkook woke up early in the morning, feeling excited as today they were going on a trip. After finishing breakfast, they set off for their destination, taking three cars with them, as always. In one car, Taehyung, Jungkook, and two guards accompanied them-one driving while the other sat beside them, robotically holding a gun. The rest of the guards were in the other cars. Some guards had already arrived at the hill, clearing the area and managing the crowd, awaiting Taehyung and Jungkook's arrival.

Sitting in the car, Jungkook gazed outside through the glass window, admiring the scenic beauty of Daegu. Every place they passed seemed more captivating, and the more Jungkook saw, the more they wished to see. Jungkook had never seen such a beautiful place before. Though they had heard a lot about Daegu, being here in person felt surreal-something they had only seen on TV and dreamed about before. But now, the reality of staying here forever made Jungkook smile inwardly. Suddenly, Taehyung's touch on his head pulled him out of his thoughts.

Taehyung gently adjusted the scarf and muffler on Jungkook's head. He himself was wearing a sweater with a matching white headscarf, looking radiant, almost angelic. Jungkook was also wearing a pure white sweater, and with the scarf now neatly draped over their head, they looked serene. Taehyung wrapped the scarf around Jungkook properly, held their chin, kissed his forehead, and said,

--" Now it's perfect.

Jungkook smiled softly and went back to admiring the view outside. Taehyung, holding Jungkook close, was scrolling through his phone.

When they arrived at their destination, a guard opened the door. Taehyung stepped out and then helped Jungkook out of the car, standing tall and composed. Jungkook, after stepping out, looked around, taking in the beauty of the place, feeling a deep sense of happiness. They took a deep breath, savouring the moment. Though there were people around, they kept a considerable distance. Jungkook looked up at the long staircase leading to the hill, eyes wide. Climbing so many stairs would surely tire them out, but no matter the effort, Jungkook was determined to make it to the top today. Taehyung, after speaking with the guards, noticed Jungkook busy counting the stairs and smiled warmly.

Without a word, Taehyung swiftly picked Jungkook up in his arms and began climbing the stairs, followed closely by the guards. Surprised by the sudden gesture, Jungkook was about to say something, but the look in Taehyung's eyes made them stop. This was not unexpected-there was no way Taehyung would let him climb all those stairs alone. Jungkook glanced around to see if anyone was watching, but no-everyone was focused on their tasks, not sparing them a glance.

It was clear that no one had permission to look because The Kim Taehyung was walking by. Jungkook mentally scoffed at the thought.

After reaching the top, Taehyung gently set Jungkook down. Despite the long climb, Taehyung stood strong and steady, making Jungkook admire him even more. Taehyung took Jungkook's hand and led them further inside. The place was beautiful, with people busy at the shrine and around, minding their own businesses.

An elderly woman approached them, and Taehyung, upon seeing her, smiled and said,

--" Greetings, ajumma.

The elderly woman smiled back with her toothless grin and replied,

--" Ohh Taehyung! How are you?

--" I'm good. This is my spouse, Kim Jungkook.

He gestured towards Jungkook. The elderly woman looked at Jungkook, who greeted her with a bow. The woman gave a big smile and said,

--" Woah! Taehyung, your spouse is very stunning, like an excellent angel!

She affectionately stroked Jungkook's head. Taehyung smiled at her.

Jungkook was surprised that Taehyung addressed the woman by her age, but before they could dwell on it, the woman continued,
