Skyle from The Northern Pack has a secret that only she knows in her group. She always felt like she was betraying her pack, considering she knew something her closest friends didn't. It was was deep, but, it was shared with one wolf, one that knew it just as well as Skyle herself. Alastro, a small grey wolf pup. These she-wolves secret was crossing within The Southern Pack. Skyle continued to feel like a traitor because she was helping Aztec and Aclisa with something that could destroy her own life.

Amax stifled a gasp. He was certainly awake now.

"My parents are working with a Northern Wolf?" Amax whispered to himself, his head feeling woozy. Surely they would have told him if they were? There must of been a good reason for that. The Northern Pack was their enemy, after all.

He didn't want to look at what was next, but this was the Cave Of Telling. He'd find out eventually, would he not? Would it hurt to find out just a little bit sooner? But he had a task to do, maybe it would distract him from it. He sighed. This would either be a huge part of his life, or it'd either be a ridiculous little thing. Now was the time for him to find out.

"No, no, no."Amax winced. What if he isn't suppose to know?

For centuries, alpha leaders have been forbidden to birth female pups and keep them as their own. They've either been killed off, enslaved or casted out of their pack, choice given by the female pup herself to make once she is old enough to speak and walk. Only alpha born male's have been allowed to be kept alive, for as long as Garo has known, their gender is the rightful heir to leadership. As unfair as it is, it is the law of the first leaders of the packs, and is unable to be changed without the word of Garo. Many time's he's been called out, he has never responded. Many believe he denied their request to remove the law, while others believe he doesn't quite know how to deal with it. Midnight of the Northern Pack is the only female pup to have been kept alive, as Dawn had another mate before she became a fellow leader, and hadn't borne her and her son while she was an alpha, so she was made an exception.

Why do I feel as thought I know where this is going? Amax thought.

One day, an alpha she-wolf bore a female wolf, then a male about a few weeks after. Making the decision to be cast out, the pup was led out of the territory by her parents. At Tranquility, they had arranged a secret meeting with the North Hunting-Guard, who had vowed to take the pup in so she was able to survive, and never tell a soul. Lying that she was a daughter of her own, father killed off long ago, Skyle kept the pup as her own, the rest of the packs believing that Alastro was out of the territories.

His throat tightened, his eyes bolting here and there as he tried to comprehend everything that he just read. As clear as it was, it seemed too vague to him. So unstable, so unusual. She knew, she knew and she didn't tell him. But how could she? She promised to never tell anyone, did she not? Everything comes cascading down on him. From the moment he locked eyes with her in her own territory, to the moment he saw his mother threatening her out of the pack.

How has no one noticed? Is the Southern Pack as daft as the North thinks?

He heard the others stirring, and Amax quickly ran away from the wall, panicking. He couldn't tell them. They'd think terribly of him, he suspected. He was right. This was going to distract him from the rest of the task.

He nudged the others up, ready to get moving.

"Wha. . .?" Ash lifted his head.

Bolie blinked open her eyes.

"Why so soon?" They groaned.

"No time to ask, let's go! We have to find Millie, now." Amax demanded. He wanted to forget about this. He had to forget about it! No questions, no thoughts, he'd deal with this later.
