Everyone stared inside, their stomachs rolling in anxiety. What if there was something dangerous in there, or is she was tricking them and she really wanted to hurt them?

"Well now, don't be shy! Come in!" The Black Tyscol snapped. They narrowed their eyes then followed more slowly, Amax the first to enter the mysterious den.

Tyscol barged inside, happy to be home. He wish he could be home right now too, but they had to rest and regain their health if they wanted to do so. It was cold, and it was dark and damp.

This so called Shadow Den was full of plants and weird objects, a lot of them all different things, unlike in their nature, form and quality. Amax spotted a purple crystal laying carelessly in a corner. Bones were piled in one side of the den, while twigs and leaves were piled in another.

"This den is so weird." Colaro whispered, his head hung low and his front legs standing close together.

"You're so weird." Tyscol retorted, Colaro's head shooting up in awkwardness.

"What are all these things?" Sky asked, his eyes narrowed as he gazed around the room uncomfortably.

"I collect human stuff, to put it in simple terms. I travel very far to get some of these things, as there is not usually any human civilizations around here." She explained simply.

"What is this, Tyscol?" Star asked, nosing a weird shaped thing made of straw.

"That is called a basket, I found it last year in the back of a pickup truck. Dumb thing was pulled off to the side, I snatched it out of the back while its pesky owners were gathered down in the ditch taking photos of the mountains."

"Do you use it for anything?" Asked Bolie.

"Why yes, of course, often to store flowers or plants." She answered thoughtfully. "But I haven't used it lately."

"Where did this glass come from?" Marcus spoke curiously.

Amax nosed his way to see what glass he was talking about. It was a single shard of glass, the pointy bottom probably sharp enough to cut through a mammal's skin.

Tyscol didn't seem to like that question very much. All she responded with was: "That piece of glass is very old."

It didn't seem that old to Amax. The piece of glass seemed recently discovered, it's pure translucent colour very vivid.

As The Black Tyscol started off, she paused, walked back and hovered over the red panda, snatching up the glass piece and walking away with it, gently setting it in a separate corner. Amax was curious as to what this place was, and if there was something she was hiding from him. And he was going to find out, tonight.

The wolves had settled down to rest inside Tyscol's den, all curled up in a pile. She had ordered them to stay far away from her things, and had went to sit alone. Bolie offered to sleep outside, in the nearest tree. No one objected, so she stalked right out, Colaro following to sleep at the base of the trunk, Marcus going along. Shadows now elapsed the den, bright stars passing by outside.

Amax looked side to side, observing that everyone was peacefully asleep. He quickly slipped off the comfy deer pelt they were piled on, and used his senses to find his way through the den. Before he could use his hearing or smell, his eyes adjusted to the darkness and he could see better now.

He saw The Black Tyscol sleeping in the corner, snoring softly, her head rested neatly on her paws. He stepped forward. He was about to prod her side to wake her up, but she lifted her head. She blinked, staring at him.

"Are you awa-"

"Of course I'm awake!" She snapped quietly. Amax flinched.

"I-I wanted to find out more about you." He looked at his paws, waiting to hear a sharp retort. I feel like that sounds like an idiotic question? But she was silent. A low growl rumbled in her throat, yet she heaved herself up.
