(The story takes place right before the events of TOTK, also it has been only a year since the events of BOTW)

(3rd person POV)

It had all started out fine. The prinsess and his silent knight were supposed to just go under the cave, explore a little and come back. Safe. Unharmed. But like everything else in their lives, that didn't seem to work out.

The champions were currently living at the castle town with Link and Zelda. Since most of their relatives (minus Mipha's and Daruk's) had passed away long ago, they had decided to live together. They were all great friends after all, and had gone through quite a lot together.

That's also why they were all so nervous to let the young hylians go under the castle for exploring. Not that they didn't trust their skills, but it was very hard not to worry for them. After all they both were hardly even adults.

The jouney was supposed to take something between 4-6 hours, after all the castle's secret tunnels were quite hard to reach. But when 5 and half hours had already passed, they were starting to get a little worried. Daruk was at the corner stress-eating rocks, Mipha was laying on a bench head on Urbosa's lap and a worried expression on her face, Urbosa on the other hand was glancing at the clock every few minutes and softly tapping the table. Revali had left couple of minutes ago to check from the air if Link and Zelda were somewhere close, but he seemed to be coming back disappointed.

"No sign of them. No one at the gates has seen them either " said Revali looking desperate as ever.

"I'm sure they are fine. They might have just ran into a particularly difficult enemy. " Mipha reasoned, even though she sounded like she was trying to convince herself as much as everyone else.

"Yeah, I'm sure they will return soon enough. Let's just wait for a little lon- " Urbosa's sentence was cut off by a loud grumbling noice from outside.

The four of them ran outside as quickly as they could with the earth still moving, just to notice that to their great horror the castle was slowly lifting up from the ground to the sky. People were screaming and shouting, trying to get their loved ones away from all the chaos. They also noticed that there was something new in the sky, something thet hadn't been there when the day first began. Though that would have to be a problem for later since as they got closer to the castle there was still no sign of Zelda or Link.

"Do you think they are still there? " Mipha asked in a quiet tone from no-one particular.

"I don't know." Urbosa said brokenly. " But I really hope not. " She continued her voice trailing off.

They sat one by one on to the ground and wached as giant rocks fell from the sky and something malice-like collected on the ground creating holes to what seemed like endless darkness.

So, that's the first chapter. Hope you liked it :)
