(3rd person POV)

They had ended up waiting for Link and Zelda almost until the sun came up. They actually would have waited till then, but Purah found them and made them follow her to the castle town. She kept saying that Link and Zelda would be found much easier if the champions had some rest before searching the whole land for the hylians. They managed to get some sleep and after that they really did look everywhere for Link and Zelda. Unsuccesfully, that is. They were not found.

A couple of days rolled by, the champions growing more and more impatient and desperate day by day. On the fourth day after the Upheaval (that's apparently what they were calling it), something finally happened.

" Lady Urbosa! All of you, please come here! " A guard shouted outside of their door. They quickly got up and opened the door.

" What is it? " Revali questioned with his very characteristic cold tone.

" There is a hooded stranger at the gates requesting specifically for you four. " They exchanged silent looks before aswering.

" Thanks, we'll be right there. " Daruk spoke for all of them.

The guard left and they started making their way to the gates all thinking different possibilities. Perhaps it's a trap, though if that's the case it'd be pretty stupid of whoever is attacking them, since there is like 50 guards nearby not to mention that the champions were one of the most skilled fighters of the entire land.

When they finally reached the gates they saw them. There was a thin looking person at the gates. They were wearing a hood and some kind of really old looking robe. The person looked quite shaky which wasn't really a suprise considering that the clothes couldn't be very warm and it was pretty cold outside that day. Their legs and arms were also covered in bruises, scars and cuts all over, not to mention that their arm seemed to be a completely different from the rest of their body. The person seemed to relax a bit as they approached them.

" Hello, would you mind telling us your name or where you came from " Urbosa asked gently lowering herself a bit so she could talk easier with the person.

" Well... that might be a bit of a long story " The person said tiredly, voice barely above whisper. Though that was enough for all of them to recognise that voice. They wached as he took his hood down, revealing a scarred an bruises face, that they all knew so well. He also looked very tired, dark circles under his eyes.

" Link." Mipha whispered a bit teary eyed.

"It's so good to see you lil guy." Daruk said, even though his usual energy was almost completely covered in worry.

"You've been gone for four days. Where the hell where you? " Revali asked, trying very hard to mask his concern for anger, but not really succeeding in it.

Link looked slowly all of them trying to get his blurry vision to clear, but unfortunately that did not happen. Instead his eyes rolled up and he fell forward, Urbosa reaching her hand just in time to catch him.

"I suppose we should take him inside and ask the questions when he wakes up." Mipha said hand on Link's wrist, searching for a pulse. "It's there but it's quite weak." She added a bit more worriedly. Daruk gently lifted Link into his arms and together they walked to their shared home.

They layed Link on his bed and put a blanket on him. They then left the room leaving the door open incase Link needed them. After sitting quietly in the living room for a moment, Revali finally opened his beak.

" Where do you think Zelda is?" he asked with a hushed tone.

"I don't know but she might be in real trouble if even link looks that bad." Daruk aswered looking lost in thought.

"Also the fact that Zelda is not by his side is enough proof that something's wrong. They never leave each other." Urbosa added.

Just then they heard a quiet gasp from Link's bedroom and they all rushed there. Link slowly looked at them as he tried to calm his breathing.

" I should- " Link spoke, cut off by a coughing fit.

"Here, take this. " Mipha said, giving Link a cup
of water. Link drank it gracefully before
continuing his sentence.

"I should propably tell you what happened. " Link said looking at the ground.

"Well, that would help but don't feel too pressured to." Revali aswered.

"Just take your time Link." Urbosa added a bit more gently than Revali.

" Alright. Here's what happened... "

And that's it for the second chapter :)
