An unusually hot summer day

(Time's POV)

When Time woke up it was warm. Scratch that, it was straight up hot. It was unusual mainly because they didn't really sleep in hot or warm places very often. It only was warm in inn's and in the desert where they had once unfortunately been stranded while being in Wild's hyrule.

So usually they did only sleep in cold places like any outside area really.

That's why it was so strange to wake up in what felt like 30 degrees and rising temperature.

He blinked his eyes open and rose to his feet faster than a Link seeing food. He quickly peeked behind the tent's entrance and saw the source of the heat.

"Everybody up! There's a fire!" Time shouted loudly, surely waking up the whole tent.

The others woke up quickly at that, and they were out of the tent in less than a minute.

They all ran further away from the fire till they reached a small open area in the forest.

"Okay! Everyone here!" Time called, collecting the chain in one place for a name call. Or at least he hoped so.

"Okay... Twilight?"

"Here!"

"Legend?"

"Sadly here!"

"Wind?"

"Aye!"

"Wars?"

"Yes sir!"

"Sky?"

He lifted his head up when Sky didn't answer, only to see that he had fallen asleep leaning on a tree.

Time just scoffed at Sky and continued with the name call.

"Four?"

"Here, here, here and here!"

Great, that leaves him with only...

"Wild and Hyrule?"

The silence couldn't have been louder.

"Anyone seen Wild or Hyrule?" Time asked, gaining only shakes of head.

"For Hylia's sake..." Time muttered as he got up from the log he had been sitting on and went to find the pair.

"Pup, you're on charge until I get back." Time said to Twilight who nodded in return. And with that, Time took off to return the missing Link's.

(Wild's POV)

Wild had woken up in the middle of the night. It wasn't unusual, but it still annoyed him that he couldn't get even one good night sleep.

He slowly rose up from his bedroll, carefully lifting Twilight's arm that had been on him, and walked to the tent's entrance as quietly as he could.

He knew that it was Hyrule's watch so at least he would have someone to talk to.

"Hi." Wild greeted whispering.

"Oh, hi." Hyrule answered, snapping himself out of his thoughts. "What are you doing awake? It isn't even five in the morning yet." Hyrule asked him with a small smile forming on his lips, now that he had someone to talk to.

"Just couldn't sleep. Decided to hang out with you." Wild told staring at the campfire.

"Well, you're always welcome to join-"

"Do you want to go somewhere?" Wild asked, cutting off Hyrule's sentence.

"What... You mean right now?" Hyrule responded surprised.
