"Three, two, one..." Kai said. He was wearing a red beanie, and a thick winter coat to protect himself from the cold weather. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he walked closer.

"Wait!" I squealed, grasping onto the edges of the sled firmly. I was at the top of a hill, and snow covered the grass in a thick blanket, smooth and fresh. Perfect for sledding. The wind bit at my face, and my nose had turned red from the cold. Why the hell did I volunteer to go first?

"Too late!" Kai grinned and pushed my sled. Suddenly I  flew down the hill and I screamed.  I screamed so loudly, but it soon turned to a scream of joy. "WOOO!" I cheered, the wind biting at my face and clawing at my jacket, as if trying to pull it off. I was travelling so fast that everything was going by in a blur. Trees and benches passed my vision, but the concerning thing was that I wasn't slowing down.

Oh shit- I yelped, my enjoyment quickly turning to fear. I dragged my hands frantically through the snow in a futile attempt to slow myself down, but all it did was throw me off balance, making the wooden sled zigzag through the snow even faster than before.

oh shit, oh shit, oh sh-

I crashed into a bush, the twigs and thorns digging into my skin as I flew off the end of the sled. I lay there for a second, dazed and hurt, limbs and clothes tangled in the mess of branches and leaves. I could almost laugh at my predicament if it didn't hurt so much. I groaned, squinting my eyes open and blinking blearily to clear my vision.

The ninjas voices neared, and I heard their concerned voices and Kai's laughter. "Jay? Are you ok?" Cole asked worriedly, yanking me out of the brambles. "Yeah, even though that was funny as hell it looked pretty nasty." Lloyd added.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I grinned, and laughed. "It was so fun!" I stood up and dusted myself off, pulling leaves out of my hair and feeling for the cuts and grazes along my skin. "But maybe next time we need to learn how to stop.."

The others laughed. I smiled and turned to Kai. "Your turn, Spiky."

Soon we were all back on the bounty, with a warm cup of steaming hot chocolate in our hands and multiple scratches and cuts adorning our faces. It turns out it really was hard to stop.

"How did it go, boys?" Nya asked. She had a screwdriver in her hand, and her face was smeared with grease, her hair pulled up into a scruffy ponytail. But she was still the prettiest girl I'd ever seen.

"It went well." Zane started, before Cole butted in. "Kai pushed Jay down the hill so hard that he flew head first into a bush."

Nya burst into laughter, and I grinned, my cheeks flushing red with embarrassment. "Why am I not surprised?" She replied.

She looked so beautiful when she laughed.

"Well it definitely explains why you all  look like you've been sitting in a dumpster for the past couple of hours." She nudged me playfully, setting the screwdriver down on a nearby table and joining us on the sofa.

"What have you been up to?" I inquired, squishing up next to Cole to make room for her.
"Nothing much, really." She wiped her face with the back of her hands, and tucked a few messy strands of hair behind her ear. "Just fixing one of the vehicles that SOMEONE-" she glared at Kai- "used so much he blew the exhaust pipe."

Kai put his hands up in a mock surrender. "Ok, I'm sorry!" Cole snickered and Zane smiled warmly.

"Anyways," Nya continued. "I was supposed to tell you something. Sensei said training starts at dawn tomorrow."

I groaned, and the others joined in.

"Seriously?" Cole muttered. "Very, very cruel master Wu. Very cruel."

"Dawn? Seriously? Can't we get a break? After all, we did just defeat the overlord. Again. Saved Ninjago city. Again." I groaned, collapsing back onto the sofa with a defeated mutter.

"That was 2 months ago, Jay." Lloyd grinned. "You do like to over exaggerate, don't you?"
I rolled my eyes, glaring at him. "Uhm, no, actually, I wasn't over exaggerating, I was just proving a point!"
"Hmmf. Whatever, Jay."
"What do you mean, whatever?"
"Just drop it!"
"Drop what?"
"You know what I mean, you idiot!"
"Hey!"

"Shut up, you two!" Nya scolded, and my mouth clamped shut, the insult I was about to say dying in my throat. I glared at Lloyd, but quickly smirked, unable to keep a straight face. It was one of my weaknesses. He smiled back at me, and all ice that was previously between us quickly melted.

Cole picked up a game controller from the small glass table in front of the sofa and threw one to me. "Care for a game, Zap-trap?" I caught it, and nodded. "Oh, it's on."

"Count me in!" Kai jumped forward and grabbed the third controller. "Fist to face 2?" He ventured, looking at me and Cole for confirmation. "You bet." I replied, and scrolled till I found the right game.

Soon we were all yelling at each other, the pixelated characters jumping around the screen. We shot half hearted insults at the other when they landed a punch, and Nya, Zane and Lloyd watched, amused, as our eyes were glued to the screen with concentration.

"Ha ha!" I yelled, jumping up from the sofa. "I am the ultimate champion! Unbeaten! Other than Zane but he doesn't count because he's good at everything!" Nya and Zane laughed, and Kai and Cole pretended to be annoyed but quickly gave up and started grinning too.

"Just you wait, Jay. I will beat you someday. Mark my words..." Cole said in a threatening voice. I scoffed, and wacked him gently around the head. "Yeah right, we'll see about that. Now let's get some food, I'm starving!"
