Elion made his way over to Damon.
"I wasn't aware that Bonnie was coming tonight," Damon said, disapproval in his tone.
"I asked her to join us. Is that a problem, darling," Elion asked, stealing a drink from one of the waiters.
"You can't keep doing this shit," Damon scolded.
Elion set his glass down and pulled him away from listening ears. Once they were outside, he turned to him.
"I wasn't aware that inviting Bonnie to have fun was a bad thing. Are you alright," Elion asked, knitting his eyebrows in concern.
"It's not about her having fun," Damon hissed, "It's about you doing crap without telling me."
"Since when did I need your permission to do things," Elion asked.
"Since I learned that you don't have a sense of self preservation. You're always running off and throwing yourself in harm's way," Damon argued.
"Where is this even coming from, Damon," Elion asked, trying to calm him down.
"Nothing. Forget it," Damon scoffed, walking past him.
Elion grabbed his arm to stop him.
"Hey, talk to me. Tell me how to help," Elion said.
Damon shoved his hand away and walked back inside. Elion gave a brief look of hurt.
Did he do something wrong? What happened?
"Elion? Are you okay," Caroline asked, walking out to see the aftermath of the argument.
"Yeah, I just had a weird argument with Damon. I don't understand why he's so upset," Elion said, shaking his head.
"It's Damon. He's always been kinda an asshole," Caroline shrugged.
Elion turned his full body to face her.
"Did something happen between you two? You always seem so upset with him," Elion said.
Caroline's eyes quickly dropped to the ground. Shame crossed her face.
"Caroline? Did something happen," Elion repeated.
"It's nothing."
"Please, you can tell me. I won't be angry," Elion promised.
Caroline lifted her eyes to his. He looked so concerned about her.
