The next couple of weeks went by in a series of blurs. Klaus overthrew Marcel, Elijah was released from Davina's clutches, the Mikaelson family moved into the Abattoir (or the compound), Elion and the boys unlinked Hayley and Sophie (with the help of Davina).

And it still felt like there was so much yet to uncover. Elion sat on the rooftop, staring blankly at the busy city.

Another rumble shook the town as Davina cried out. He squeezed his eyes shut as his chest tightened. She was in so much pain.

"Dad, I think we found something," Atlas said, grabbing his attention.

Elion hopped down to the balcony and went inside. He found Atlas and Milo going over information with Marcel.

"What is it," Elion asked.

"A possible spell to reverse the effects," Milo said, "We need a coven, a full moon, and a... Oh... We need a cosmic event. Dammit."

Elion looked over at Klaus as he poured himself a drink.

"Find anything in that thing," Klaus asked.

"So far, no. What about your mother's grimoire? Did she have anything useful," Elion asked.

"Elijah is still searching, but no," Klaus said.

"Actually, we may have something," Elijah said, joining the conversation.

"Lay it on us," Atlas said.

"If we have a powerful enough witch, we can shift this sacrifice to someone else," Elijah said.

"Why do I feel like there's a 'but' in this," Marcel asked.

"Because there is. If the witch isn't strong enough, they would simply combust and the sacrifice would still rest on Davina," Elijah explained.

"How strong does this witch need to be," Marcel asked.

"Strong enough to carry a world ending disaster in their blood without dying on the spot," Elijah said, sarcasm hinted in his tone.

"Great. Should be easy enough, right," Milo muttered.

"Does it have to be a New Orleans witch," Elion asked, rubbing his chin in thought.

"No."

Elion's hummed. Marcel glanced over to Elion. He could see him plotting.

"What are you thinking, E," Marcel asked.

"Nothing. We need to figure out another plan. No witch is capable of holding this. I'm surprised Davina is still standing," Elion said.
