WARNINGS: Blood Consumption
Elion walked into the hotel room. He opened the fridge and pulled out a vial. The word Witch was written on the glass.
He opened it and gulped down the blood. His eyes flickered a distinct green, revealing his DNA was changing.
He looked at the clock before doing his spell. Right on time.
"Wrong or right. Dark and light. Show me the witch that roams this night," Elion chanted.
He gasped as images flooded his brain. The church... the door... The coffin...
Finally, the witch... She's just a teenager. A child. Elion briefly pulled back as he felt the power of Katie's spell vanish.
He shook his head slowly. She's just a child. Elion astral projected himself in her room.
"Hello."
Davina gasped and turned, still uneasy after what happened.
"Who are you?! What do you want," Davina asked, tilting her chin upwards.
"My name is Elion. Elion Pierce. I was planning to do you harm before I realized that you were a child," Elion said, "No one told me that you were. I wanted to apologize for that."
Davina subtly shifted before crossing her arms.
"So? What do you want," Davina asked.
"You're tired," Elion whispered.
"I'm fine. I can handle myself," Davina said.
Davina felt any fatigue from the previous spell leave her.
"How did you do that? You're a witch, aren't you," Davina asked.
"Not exactly. I don't know your story or how you ended up here," Elion said, "But I'd be careful."
"I'm not afraid of you or anyone," Davina said.
"I know. That's what I'm afraid of," Elion said softly, "You're caught in a war between vampires and witches when you should be living your life."
Davina briefly dropped her eyes.
"You're still young, and you have the whole world ahead of you. All I ask is that you take care of yourself. And please be careful," Elion said.
"Why do you care? You don't know me," Davina said.
"Yeah, you're right. I suppose I have a habit of caring too much for others," Elion shrugged.
Davina slowly relaxed. Her tension was still present but not as bad.
"Have a lovely night," Elion said, "And watch out for my father for me."
Elion nodded at the coffin. Davina tensed up once more and turned to the coffin. Once she turned back, Elion was gone.
He opened his eyes with a low, irritated sigh. A child. A fucking child! They know how he feels about harming kids!
He stood up and went to pick up his boys. They were probably exhausted by now.
The next day, Elion went over his borrowed grimoires to figure out how to unlink Hayley and Sophie Devereux.
Every spell he looked up, ended in a dead end. Maybe he was searching in the wrong spots. Or maybe...
"It has to be a New Orlean's witch. Our blood won't work."
Elion looked over at Atlas. He kneeled down next to Elion (since he was sitting on the floor).
"I did research on it last night," Atlas continued.
"Okay. Is it our blood or our magic," Elion asked.
"Both. Needs to be a New Orleans native and their witch," Atlas explained.
Elion clenched his jaw, wondering if there was a loophole for that. There's always a loophole.
"You saw her, didn't you," Atlas asked.
Elion lifted his eyes to Atlas.
"It's alright. I won't tell Uncle Klaus," Atlas promised.
"Yes. I did see her," Elion said softly, "I know where she is."
"You're hesitating to kill her," Atlas said.
"She's just a child, Atlas."
Atlas dropped his eyes. He knew how Elion felt about killing/hurting kids.
"I understand," Atlas said, "Did you speak to her?"
"A little. She's strong willed. Brave even. But even still, I can tell she's afraid," Elion said, "I think she's more scared of witches than any of us."
"Why would she be afraid of witches," Atlas asked.
"No clue. She didn't say," Elion sighed, closing his grimoire, "I was thinking we could go into town today. Look around, get some ice cream."
Atlas scanned Elion's face. Reading him. He was silently plotting, but didn't want to neglect them.
"Sure, dad," Atlas agreed with a soft smile, "I'll grab Milo, and we'll meet you."
Atlas stood up to grab his phone. He paused for a moment before leaving.
"Atlas?"
"The baby. She's a girl," Atlas reported.
Then he turned and walked to his room. Elion felt his pocket buzz and pulled out his cellphone.
It was a text from Damon.
