Narinder, wiping away his tears, sank to the ground, feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders. The exhausting weight of resurrections was gaining on him. He felt like a warrior in the middle of a battlefield, having fought for what he loved, and despite the fatigue, he still stood tall with determination.
Baal and Aym, faithful as ever, immediately sat beside him, ready to listen to their master. The tension of the temple, which had been a scene of sacrifice and daring, now became a sacred refuge where the truth could flow unrestricted.
"Master, what happened?" Baal asked, his voice echoing with a mix of unease and curiosity.
Narinder inhaled deeply, the air filled with the scent of blood and power. With a great sigh, he began to relate. His words flowed like a torrent, filling the space with the weight of his story.
As he spoke, the glow in his eyes intensified, reflecting the light of hope and determination. "Now, with you by my side, I feel like I can face any adversity."
The temple, though still steeped in shadow, began to resonate with the energy of his words, and the twins, inspired by Narinder's passion, knew they were destined to be a part of something monumental.
The twins, though they had lost most of their powers, stood firm and loyal, like soldiers ready to face any battle that lay ahead. Determination shone in their eyes, a reflection of the devotion they felt for their master. Narinder watched them for a moment, feeling a mix of pride and sadness as he contemplated their unwavering loyalty.
"Oh, and I have some gifts for you!" Narinder exclaimed, breaking the silence that had fallen on the temple. With a gesture filled with emotion, he handed each of them a golden skull necklace and a Weeber bracelet. "With this, age and hunger will never be a problem for you," he added with a hopeful smile.
The twins accepted the gifts with respect, their trembling hands caressing the jewels as if they were sacred treasures. Narinder felt a surge of happiness as he saw their faces light up with gratitude and wonder.
"In this short period of time since I left the Veil, I have learned to appreciate life more. I want to give them all I can," Narinder said, his voice shaking with the emotion that filled him.
"Of course, master. Whatever you say will be our happiness," Baal replied, his gaze fixed and determined.
Narinder was surprised by the sincerity of the answer. A knot formed in his stomach as he saw the twins so determined, so willing to follow him despite the horrors they had faced. He had raised them in the Veil, training them only as soldiers for his own benefit. Now, being in the world of the living, he felt like he himself was a chain that limited the twins.
He smiled, but said nothing. Inside him, a whirlwind of emotions was unleashed; he wanted to free the twins from the chains of their past and give them a new life full of opportunities. He knew that despite their own struggles, the three of them together could forge a new path, one that honored both their loyalty and their desire to live fully.
But that wouldn't be fair to the twins. Narinder had them at last, and they could accompany him to the end of time, but Narinder knew that wouldn't set them free - he wanted to give them what he didn't have.
With a sad thought in mind, the glow of hope lit up his heart as he prepared to face whatever came next.
