The rooster's crowing rose discordantly into the air; a croak interrupted midway that seemed to have been interrupted by someone else. However, it was enough for all the cultists to wake up, slowly peeking out from their beds with yawns and smiles. The small huts and the activity of the day began to come to life. The rays of the sun were breaking over the horizon, caressing the landscape with its warm light.
In the leader's house, the first rays of sunlight entered through the cracks of the window, softly illuminating the scene. Narinder slowly opened his eyes, feeling the familiar and comforting weight of Goliath upon him. The goat slept soundly, his head resting on the god's chest, his breathing slow and calm. Narinder looked at him tenderly, surprised by how vulnerable he looked at that moment, such a great contrast to his usual firmness and roughness.
Narinder smiled as he slid a hand down to Goliath's horns, noting their size and shape. They were larger and sturdier than Lambert's, but in their own way, just as charming. He stroked them carefully, letting his fingers run over the curves in admiration.
"They're so cute," Narinder murmured to himself, before speaking in a playful tone, "Hey, Goliath... what if we get married?"
Goliath reacted as if thunder had struck nearby. His eyes shot open, his body rigid as he stared at Narinder in disbelief.
"W-what?" he stammered, clearly overwhelmed.
Narinder laughed softly, delighted by the goat's reaction.
"What's wrong? You don't like the idea?"
"But... what about Lambert? You're already married!" Goliath exclaimed, his face reddening as he tried to process the idea.
Narinder raised an eyebrow and smiled mischievously.
"So what? You were a god in your cult, weren't you? I'm sure you had several spouses."
"Well... yes, but one at a time," Goliath confessed, looking away. "I didn't want my spouses to fight over jealousy."
Narinder leaned down and hugged him tightly, resting his chin on the goat's head.
"But this is my cult. Here, I am the god and the leader. I can have as many spouses as I want. And besides, Lambert adores you, so there won't be any jealousy issues. Or do you not want to marry me?" he asked in a mocking tone, glancing at Goliath out of the corner of his eye.
Goliath, too flushed to respond right away, buried his face in the soft fur on Narinder's chest.
"Of course I do, silly cat!" he murmured, his voice muffled but filled with excitement.
Narinder smiled triumphantly and stroked Goliath's back.
"Perfect. I'll take my time preparing for the wedding. But from today on, I want you to move in here, to my house. You'll share a bed with me and Lambert." His tone was firm, determined, and full of pride.
The goat nodded softly, still lying against Narinder's chest, his hands clinging to his fur. Narinder, for his part, couldn't help but imagine how happy it would be to wake up every day next to his two loves. He looked around the room, satisfied, as the bed was designed for more than 5 people.
Goliath snuggled up with a small smile, while Narinder closed his eyes, enjoying the warm moment they had shared. In his mind, he was already planning the details for the next ceremony, eager to consolidate this new chapter of his life.
After a while, Narinder, with a mixture of affection and emotion, did not want to completely let go of Goliath as he sat up from the bed. Carefully, he put a firm arm around him so as not to interrupt his rest. His other hand gently caressed the messy locks of the goat's gray fur, who was still deep in a peaceful sleep. Narinder smiled, his gaze reflecting genuine love as he whispered:
"Well... although this moment with you is perfect, I can't help but miss my cute lamb. You don't know how much I'm dying to have you both here with me, together, sharing our life."
