Narinder walked through the cult, observing the cultists immersed in their daily tasks. Harmony reigned in the atmosphere: some cultivated the fields, others organized supplies or cleaned the common spaces. Occasional laughter and relaxed expressions showed that everyone was genuinely happy. There was no anxiety of the past or fear of the future here; the cult was a safe haven under the guidance of their god.
As he walked, Narinder stopped when he noticed Goliath in the training area. The goat was absorbed in his exercises, precisely swinging two wooden swords while attacking a practice dummy with aggressive and calculated movements. Each blow resonated loudly, sweat glistening on his gray fur, and his rhythmic breathing demonstrated his determination. After a couple of attacks, Goliath would put his swords aside and drop to the ground to do quick push-ups, further strengthening his imposing physique. Narinder watched from a distance, his eyes narrowed in pride and admiration. Although he wished to speak to him, he respected his concentration, knowing that Goliath took every aspect of his training seriously.
As he continued walking, Narinder spotted Lambert in a quieter corner, next to the poet raven. Lambert, with his characteristic red cape and golden bell, was painting a landscape that seemed to be inspired by the cult itself, while the raven recited verses to accompany the moment. It was a serene and artistic scene, and Narinder, with a mischievous smile, decided to interrupt.
He approached with firm steps and took Lambert's hand gently. "May I have a moment?" he asked in a sweet tone, to which Lambert nodded with a smile. The raven, true to his dramatic nature, posed in place and recited: "The god takes the lamb, will it be for a kiss or for an eternal sleep?"
Narinder ignored him and carried Lambert into the temple, closing the doors behind them. Without warning, he easily lifted him into his arms and planted a firm, passionate kiss on his lips. Lambert, surprised but happy, instinctively hugged him. Narinder, beaming with happiness, took him by the hands and began to spin with him, laughing like an excited child.
"I have the crown of Haro!" Narinder exclaimed with elation, his eyes shining with a special light. "Soon I will fulfill one of my greatest fantasies!"
Lambert, not fully understanding what this achievement meant, smiled widely. "I don't know what you mean, but I'm glad to see you so happy." His voice was soft and affectionate, reflecting how much he enjoyed the bliss of his god and husband.
Narinder took Lambert's face in his hands, caressing it tenderly as he peppered his forehead, cheeks, snout, and even chin with kisses. Each kiss was a gesture that conveyed the deep affection he felt for his beloved lamb. Lambert laughed between each kiss, his bell jingling softly with his movements, while his cheeks took on a light pink hue from the intensity of the moment.
"And don't forget that tonight will be ours," Narinder whispered into Lambert's ear, using a seductive tone that made the lamb's skin tingle slightly.
Lambert responded with a slight nervous laugh, looking away as if hiding something. This attitude puzzled Narinder, who raised an eyebrow, but decided not to insist. Instead, he smiled calmly and let go of his hands.
"Well, go on with your painting before it gets dark," he said softly, giving him a little playful push.
Lambert nodded hurriedly and almost stumbled away, as if in a hurry to escape. Narinder watched him with a mix of curiosity and tenderness, clearly noticing that his beloved was hiding something. For a moment he considered using his power to read Lambert's thoughts and discover the secret, but the respect and affection he had for him stopped him. It was better to trust.
With a sigh, Narinder left the temple and, as he walked, his steps took him back to Goliath's training area. This time he decided to keep his distance, watching from a distant point so as not to interrupt the goat's concentration.
