Apple darted through the mansion, searching frantically for Marshmallow—her best friend, her other half, her girlfriend. She loved Marshmallow so much, almost to the point of obsession! She always felt lost without her... maybe she was a little clingy, but she couldn't help it. Marsh was everything to her, and she wanted to spend every moment with her sweet, squishy girlfriend.

Sometimes Apple could be a bit much, and she'd occasionally get jealous when Marshmallow spent time with other friends, like when she hung out with Bow or when Paintbrush visited. It didn't seem fair—Apple wanted to be the one playing with Marshmallow all the time, forever and ever! She was trying to work on not getting too jealous, but it was hard when she loved Marshmallow so much and just wanted to keep her all to herself.

Meanwhile, Marshmallow was hiding again, exhausted after spending the entire day playing with Apple. First, they'd played ponies, which Marsh quickly grew bored of, then they finger-painted, making a huge mess. Now, she sat down at the bar, sipping a bottle of maple syrup, tiredly watching the static on the TV. Bow was there too, chatting about some story, while Marsh tried to vent. It wasn't that Bow didn't care... she just wasn't the best listener.

"Bow, are you even listening?" Marshmallow snapped, arms crossed.

"Huh? Ya, of course!" Bow replied defensively.

"Then what did I just say?" Marsh pressed.

"Uhh... something... Apple... something play..." Bow had clearly zoned out.

"Bow! Please. I really need your advice! I am *so* tired. Sometimes, taking care of Apple is like looking after a hyper puppy. She never stops!" Marshmallow sighed. "I love her so much, but I just get so worn out..."

"Why don't you invite her to do something chill? Like watch a show or something? You've got your laptop here," Bow suggested, rolling her eyes.

"Oh... wait, that's actually a really good idea, Bow!" Marshmallow lit up.

"Or, I could possess you, and you could nap while I use your body," Bow smirked.

"Uh... last time I let you do that, you just used my body to make out with my girlfriend," Marshmallow reminded her, deadpan.

"Uh, Ya... sharing is caring, yknow!" Bow grinned.

Marshmallow grumbled as she slid off the chair, hearing Apple's voice getting closer. Apple was heading down to the bar.

"Marshmallow! Where are youuu? I wanna play tag!!!" Apple called out cheerfully, excitement bubbling in her voice.

Marshmallow took a deep breath, hoping her plan would work—that Apple would agree to cuddle and watch something instead of running around playing games. Clearing her throat, she nervously called back.

"Uh... I'm down here!" she said, her voice tinged with uncertainty, worried that her idea might not fly.

Apple burst into the bar and raced over to Marshmallow, throwing her arms around her and pulling her into a tight hug, burying her face in Marsh's soft, squishy head.

"Oh, Marsh! There you are! I was looking for you! I'm so glad you're okay!" Apple squeezed her tighter, clinging as if she never wanted to let go.

Marshmallow closed her eyes and squeaked from the pressure, feeling squished in Apple's bear-like embrace. Every time Apple hugged her, it felt like she was being held as if for the last time, squeezed until little bits of her powdery coating cracked.
