It was a typical night for Lollipop at the nightclub—a late shift with barely any breaks between her performances. She had started dancing at 7 p.m., and now, at 10 p.m., she still had a few hours left to go. As the club's star attraction, Lollipop was the main draw. While there were other performers, most nights revolved around her. The regulars adored her, drawn in by her playful banter and the way she made them feel like there could be something more between them. But for Lollipop, it was all just part of the job—a tactic to keep them coming back, always hoping that the next time they might get a little closer, even though that day would never come. She skilfully led them on, crafting a parasocial relationship that kept them hooked. Her performances were a mesmerising blend of exotic dances and captivating songs, her voice a deep and flirtatious melody that left everyone in awe. Both men and women were captivated by her, completely enthralled by her presence.
She wore striking makeup, with dark purple eyeshadow dusted with sparkling glitter, black winged eyeliner that made her eyes stand out, and a deep purple lipstick that perfectly complemented her complexion. In the midst of a performance, she was on stage, singing a beautiful song that showcased her voice. Positioned at the centre of the nightclub, her deep, alluring vocals filled the room. She held the microphone close, pouring her heart into every note.
Flower, a sweet pink anemone saucer plant, reluctantly entered the nightclub. She hadn't wanted to come, but her friends insisted, practically dragging her along. She tried to explain that this wasn't her kind of place, but they wouldn't listen. So here she was, in a club she had no interest in being at, arms crossed uncomfortably as she walked inside. Her friends led her to the bar, hoping a drink would help her loosen up. As she sat nervously in a booth by herself, waiting for them to return, her eyes wandered to the stage. And then she saw her—Lollipop. She was stunning, mesmerising. Her voice was like a melody Flower had never heard before. Flower felt her heart flutter as she listened, hands propped under her chin, completely captivated. Lollipop's appearance made her pulse race; she was clearly out of Flower's league, but still, Flower couldn't help but wonder, what if?
Lollipop soon noticed the adorable little plant staring her way. She could tell Flower was new; she'd never seen her before, but she could easily change that. With a sly smile, Lollipop turned her attention to Flower, locking eyes with her as she sang. She even threw in a playful wink. Flower's cheeks turned a bright shade of orange, feeling like an arrow had shot through her heart. She clutched her chest, her heart racing as she helplessly met Lollipop's gaze. A wobbly smile spread across her face, her eyes sparkling with admiration. Lollipop found this oddly endearing. Flower was cute, but Lollipop wasn't looking at her out of interest—it was just part of the job. Or at least, that's what she told herself. But there was something about Flower that made Lollipop's own heart flutter. That had never happened before. Surely she could control it? She always had in the past. So why was this time different?
Lollipop finished her song on a high note, and the crowd erupted into applause and whistles, vying for her attention. But she ignored them, her focus now entirely on Flower. After placing the microphone back in its stand, she jumped down from the stage and casually made her way across the nightclub toward Flower's booth. She wanted to greet this new customer personally. At first, Flower didn't realise Lollipop was coming her way—why would she? But then, there Lollipop was, standing right in front of her table. Flower swallowed hard, staring up at her.
