Chapter 1

It was already afternoon, past lunch but I am still on the line to get my enrollment slip, other than the hunger I felt, I am also annoyed at the fact that my best friend left me to follow the girl who called him earlier. 'Pati ako nadadamay sa pagiging babaero niya' Kahit pagod at gutom napipilitan pa din akong ngumiti sa mga bumabati sa'kin. I heaved a sigh. 'What a day.'

"Hi, what's your name, course and year po?" The staff in the registrar asked me. She looks like a student.

"Good afternoon, Haven Kyle Arden, 3rd year BSHM." I smiled even though my tummy is already grumbling.

The staff smiled at me and type the information, a few more clicks and it's done.

"Just proceed to our cashier po, thank you." I just once again smiled at the staff and heavily sigh. I might just eat first before paying my tuition fee because the long line will probably kill me.

I exited the registrar and passed by the student lounge, still thinking if I should just go home and call it a day or to finish my agenda today and I am free for the whole week. I feel so hungry and tired standing and waiting for almost 3 hours on that line, as my mind wander, I didn't notice that I was near at the school exit.

"Haven!" I turned at my left and found my best friend waving at me, I just rolled my eyes at him and continue to walk to our school exit.

"Wait lang, ito naman ang sungit." Jiro put his arms in my shoulder that made me scoffed, 'the audacity of this man to made me wait on that line and just popped up like this'

"If you didn't left me there alone, di siguro ako mamatay matay sa gutom at pagod ngayon, pwede ba? Huwag mo 'kong ayain sa mga plano mo kung di mo naman tatapusin." Jiro was shocked because the anger I felt was evident in my voice.

"Sorry na, sige na ako na magbabayad ng food mo what do you want ba? The usual?" Tinanggal ko ang braso niya na nakalagay sa balikat ko at hinarap siya.

"I have my money, wag mo 'ko daanin sa ganiyan mo, just because we're best friends you can just neglect me whenever and wherever you want, ayan na enrollment slip mo, ikaw na magbayad, if you can't do it alone, isama mo yung babae mo, uuwi na ako." I left him shocked. I hope he knows he fucked up so big time.
