Malia's POV

I was over at my best friend Angelo's house waiting for him on the couch, he got caught up at work but I was already there so he told me to just watch a movie till her got here. Angelo and I have been best friends since we were little, it was nothing romantic, purely platonic as we were both gay, a great coincidence if you ask me. Even though I practically was over here all the time I didn't know how to work their TV as embarrassing as it was so I was just watching tik tok on my phone. I'm fully sucked into my phone until I hear the front door open, in walks Angelo's older sister, Kylie. She always picked on me since we were little kids and she hasn't stopped now, however ever since I um went through the change.. Kylie and I's dynamic has certainly changed, her picking on me turned into more teasing flirty comments. As soon as she lays her eyes on me I see that stupid smirk wash across her face,

"Oh who do we have here?" She laughs as she puts down her keys and bag,

"I didn't know I had a visitor tonight" She looks me up and down, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a crush on her, she was definitely something, it was hard not to and she knew it, thats why she liked to tease me.

"You wish" I roll my eyes but I can't hide the smile that washes across my face, she walks over and sits down beside me, making herself comfortable,

"Maybe I do" She mutters under her breath, loud enough for me to hear but I don't know if that was intended,

"Why are you just sitting here? Like why aren't you watching anything?" She asks,

"I um- I can't use the TV" I cringe,

"Wow I thought nerds were supposed to be smart" She laughs,

"Yeah well I thought you were too cool to hangout with nerds" I say,

"Aw nice try, that was cute" She laughs and my face flushes red, suddenly Angelo texts me that he's going to his boyfriends house, great, I sigh and grab my bag to get up and leave,

"Hold on, where are you off to?" Kylie grabs my arm, it almost felt like an electric spark as her fingers made contact to my skin,

"Your brothers ditching me for his boyfriend" I sigh,

"What a dick!" Kylie huffs and pulls out her phone, she opens snapchat and starts recording a voice memo,

"bro's over hoes Ang I thought I taught you right!" She yells then sends it making me laugh,

"Well how about I drive you home?" Kylie offers,

"You just got back, there's no point going back out" I say,

"You're not walking home in the dark, you know how many guys would jump on you gorgeous?" Kylie laughs as she grabs her keys, I'm almost frozen as my heartbeat rings throughout my head, she called me gorgeous.

"Hurry up nerd!" She says as she walks out the door snapping me out of my love spiral,

"Coming" I follow her out the door, what are you thinking Malia, she is just teasing, fake flirting.

"Took your time" She laughs when I get in the car next to her,

"God the night is warm and still young" She says as we start driving, the warm breeze drifting through her open window,

"How about we go get ice cream? Park up by the beach, my treat" She smiles,

"I could go for an ice cream" I shrug,

"Good" She laughs and drives us to the closest place which ended up being a McDonalds,

"What do you want?" She asks as we pull into the drive through,
