"I swear to god Hotchner-"

"Woah, slow down Ace." It was Morgan. He held his hands up.

"Derek." You said surprised. He took in your state as you wiped the tears away and straightened your posture.

"What happened?" He said. You opened the door wider and he came in. He stood in the hallway of your house and you immediately shut the door. He looked concerned and worn out. This whole Doyle case took a toll on him. You immediately hugged him. He opened his arms and you started to cry. He held the back of your head and stood there. "It's okay, we're okay." He assured you.

"Derek, I'm so sorry. I wanted to tell you so bad but Doyle made me promise. He was going to hurt you, all of you." He pulled back. "Derek, I could-" He pulled back and held your forearms.

"Dani, I know. Doyle told me everything. I know you did what you thought was right. I just wish you had let me in. I can't believe you had to deal with all of that without any of us on your side. He came into your house, Dani. He threatened your life and you still put Emily first even though she was dead. You are the most loyal person I know." He said, face level with yours.

"I know how hard this was on you. I saw how it was eating you up and I wanted so badly to tell you." You followed up.

'Why are you crying, you said Hotch's name. Was he here?" He asked, looking around. You nodded your head and walked into your bedroom. You got on your side and Morgan sat next to you and crossed his legs over the covers. Both of your backs, against the headboard.

"I got another job offer. He wants me to take it. He wanted me to leave, Derek. He left when Emily died, he left me-us. He walked out because he knew he couldn't face us because he knew she was alive while we all were a wreck trying to pick up the pieces." You said.

"You're not leaving us." It was definitive. Morgan was your family, a brother. You had known him almost three years but it felt like a lifetime. You hesitated. You wanted to leave now. You couldn't be in the same proximity of Hotch and feel the way you did. "Get whatever thoughts you have in your head and crush them. You're not going anywhere." He warned.

"I need to. I can't do this anymore." You said.

"Do what? Emily's back, Doyle's dead." He said confused.

"I'm in love with Hotch." You admitted. You expected his face to twist with confusion but his face fell.

"Dani, I know." He said. He what?

"What?" You said, shocked.

"You've been in love with him since the day you walked into the BAU." He said. "I may have only known you for three years but I know you did an internship here. You were here for a year before I got here. Straight out of highschool." He finished.

"How did you know that?" You asked.

"Did you really think you could hide that Gideon is your uncle?" He asked.

"That's not in my file. How did you know that?" You asked again.

"Hotch told me." He said. "He's respected you since you were nineteen."

"He doesn't want what I want." You told him. "I can't be here knowing what I know, knowing how I feel. It's my last straw Morgan.

"We are your family. We are all that you have left. I saw what the team did to you, we both know you can't do it again." He spoke firmly.

"I'm tired. Will you stay?" He nodded. He got under the covers and you flipped off the lights. He got closer to you and intertwined your fingers. He got close to you so you were both facing the same way.
