Two days passed and you were due to meet with Generals. You couldn't sleep. You maybe got an hour or two a night. You spent a lot of the time on the phone with Garcia trying to figure out the logistics of all of this. You really wished the team was here to help. You got through the meeting and proposed a plan and the Generals were open to it. You needed a group to go to the West side as a decoy and take out the snipers. There were two and those two happened to be Amari and Jacob. It was their speciality. It had to be them. You offered to be with them. You couldn't send men into an unknown territory on a hunch. You need to be sure.

You got your gear on and stood with the others. It had been a while since you had everything on. "Lieutenant." Winters called. You walked over. "The team is assembled. You are to get in and out. I have five snipers ready to take these guys out. They are quick, you need to be quicker. You have one rule. Don't die." he patted you on the back.

"Yes, Colonel. I'll do my best." You nodded. You headed out with the group. You took three armored trucks to the site. One was filled with the snipers. Your job was to basically be bait while they got into position and act as though you were just there to confiscate weapons. You had scouted the area to find weak spots where they might target. Everything was going well until it wasn't.

There was ringing in your ear. An explosion happened and you were sent flying. The heat of the blast made your skill feel like it was scorching hot. The minute before the bombing you heard that one of the snipers had taken down what you assumed was either Jacob or Amari and then everything went to hell.

"Dani. Earth to Agent Lindsey." Morgan called.

"Morgan? What are you doing here?" You breathed out. You had only been the BAU for six months at this point. Stressed from the case, you found your way to Clancy's to try and take a break. You had clicked with the team but were too shy to ask them out with you.

"Um having a drink. The rest of the team is here. You said you had plans later. We would have invited you." He said. Ah. You did that that, you didn't want them to think you were a loser.

"Well your looking at my plans." You laughed. He put his hand around your shoulder at the bar and lifted you up.

"Alright, Ace. Time to join the party." He was laughing. He directed you over to the booth that you would sit at the next three years.

"Dani!" JJ said. She was a little tipsy. Everyone looked surprised but it was a welcomed one.

"Hi guys" You smiled.

"I thought you had a date?" Spencer said confused.

"A date! My sweet angel Dani baby!" Penelope spoke up. You blushed. You hadn't told anybody about that.

"Spence, I never said that." You said confused.

"I overheard you on the phone. Plus you checked your phone 52% more than you usually do." He said like it was the most normal thing in the world.

"Not creepy at all, Spency. I did in fact have a date." You admitted.

"Well, where is he?" Emily asked.

"Yeah, where is this mystery man who has stolen my best girls heart?" Pen smacked Derek in the arm. "Second best girl." You laughed.

"He didn't show up. Thus why I am drinking my sorrows away." You took another sip of your drink.

"I'm sorry, he seems like a loser." Emily said.

"A round of drinks? We are getting you drunk, Ace!" Morgan said going over to the bar with Garcia. You slid into the booth and Hotch sat with his tie loose but his blazer still on. You hadn't spoken to him that much since you've been at the BAU. He was so intimidating but something about him was so alluring. His wife had died recently, if you remember correctly this is his first time coming out with the team since then.
