"Go! Go! Go!" Fig shouted as he whipped open the van door and we ran inside what looked like an abandoned building that we all had seen before.
"Go to the armory! Hurry!" Lezlie shouted running to the door.
It had been relatively quiet from when we ran into our dearest friend Gornid at Lezlie's home. I looked at my hands and saw the ice that just froze Gornid slightly melting away still. I was the demigod of Ice. Boreas was my father. I didn't know how I activated my power but I just did. I was unsure as to what happened but I got them to activate and it saved us, well technically the only two hunters left saved us but I froze Gornid. My power hit him.
We ran inside and settled in the armory. Once we were all inside Fig looked around and tried flicking the lights on but it wasn't working for some lovely reason. So now we were in the dark. I tried looking for any sort of light as I thought I did something, it was just Chase using his hand lit on fire to provide some light. I wasn't sure if the others knew that I shot ice out of my hand but I felt that was a conversation for another time. Lezlie and Fig were talking in a corner and I started eavesdropping a little.
"Lucia is definitely going to help this final attack," Fig whispered.
"I agree, without three of the powers it could get rough." Lezlie kept the conversation quiet.
"It would be nice to have the light power revealed about now haha." Fig smiled a little and Lezlie giggled. It was nice to hear someone a little happy.
"Poy seemed interesting too," Lezlie added. "He has some sort of kinetic energy power or something along those lines. He summoned a shield that protected him from a hit by Gornid. I didn't know what to think of it."
"That's something. Especially since he's one of the hunters, having a close-up protection protocol would be nice if all you have is a bow." He responded.
I wasn't sure what to think of the 'hunters' they came out of nowhere, but very obviously wanted to help because they put their lives on the line to make sure we were all safe. Only two remained and I think their names were Lucia and Poy. The only thing I was worried about was stopping Gornid because Fig stated that this was it. We weren't going to run anymore. This was the final stand we would make. That scared the crap out of me. I just learned I had powers and all of a sudden we had to defeat this monster who had been chasing us. Not to mention that two of us didn't even have our powers. It wasn't a fun thought to ponder.
The lights flickered on after Seth came back in the room and said 'Found the electrical panel.' Meaning he shocked it and turned the power back on. I was glad he was on our team and didn't pull an Elijah. I was also happy that he was dead and we wouldn't have to fight him and Gornid together. Two of the strongest Earth human beings would not be a fun thing to face. We began grouping up to discuss a plan. It felt like this was the last call.
"Okay. So you lot met some of the hunters back there. Artemis created a group of humans that could see the monsters like you can but they had to be powerless, or not demigods. Artemis did this so that they could be sworn to protect demigods like you and themselves. They are called hunters because part of their purpose is to hunt the monsters and take care of them before they can cause any damage or risk to us. You met Lucia and Poy. Lucia is the second in command so it's obvious how serious our little Gornid problem is. A goddess herself sent her best to come help us." Fig kept shifting his eyes so he didn't look at just one person in particular.
"Right, the bow and arrow guy was Poy? I wonder why he got sent." Chase asked in disgust.
"A little help is better than no help dude." Ethan butted in.
"neugh neugh" Chase mimicked as Ethan looked like he was gonna punch him. I giggled as did Macie.
"Okay, so we wait for those two to show up, and then we really just powerhouse the training?" Seth asked.
