Krista waited at the airport to pick her mom up after she had asked her to be the one too, it was a Sunday... later in the day.

"Hey, baby" Erica greeted getting inside the car , her daughter greeted her back with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Where are your siblings now?" She asked , Krista looked at her as she drove.

"You don't know where the rest of your kids are?" She chuckled.

"I'm asking now" Erica said kissing her teeth at her,

"They're still with grandma " Krista answered,

"You're gonna drop me off and go hang out with grandma right?" Erica asked, Krista scrunched her face ,

"That's too far" she answered , "I just came from church , I want to get in my bed and sleep"

Erica rolled her eyes at her daughter, it was far but it wasn't too far and she thought she could always go someplace else,

"I want to talk to Kierra, there's something we need to discuss " Erica expressed

"Euw" Krista answered,

"Not that!" Erica fussed at her , "Get your mind out the gutter Kris" she spat as Krista chuckled,

"Well why would you want me to leave? Can't you two talk while I'm in my room the house is too big mom" she said to her

"No, no we can't" Erica answered .

While they drove to the house , Erica kept asking Krista questions about school and how she has been,

Even if she was updated on her children's lives she felt like she had to do more to show that she wanted to be involved,  she had to show the people she loved that she loved them and that she was interested.

Eventually they got to the property, Erica got out and she took out her carry on from the back of Krista's car then she pushed away from the car,

"You not coming in?" Erica asked seeing Kris still inside on her phone.

"Ma , you just kicked me out now you want me to come in? " Krista asked, Erica shook her head,

"I didn't mean leave immediately, but anyway it's fine... go on, go meet your siblings or your cousin or whatever " Erica said causing Krista to shake her head,

"You owe me gas money by the way... all this driving up and down?" She said as she started her car.

Erica kissed her teeth avoiding her, she continued pushing her bag going up to the door of her house.

The big moment , the one she had been anticipating that wrecked her brain all weekend was minutes away from happening.

She took out her key knowing Kierra locked herself in the house when she was alone , and she opened it getting in.

Erica walked inside closing the door behind her, she was home finally... it was a little cold inside and she wondered why , she walked to the living room to see if Kierra was there and she wasn't.

She wasn't at the couch,

Erica then walked to their bedroom but on her way she checked for the thermometer in the house checking which temperature Kierra had it on.

"Loverrrr" Erica sang getting inside the room, Kierra was taking a nap in her comfortable clothes,

She had clothes on the edge of the bed which Erica thought was the one she wore to church... she walked up to her with a smile on her face takin her face in.

Erica then kneeled down , she kissed her face softly all over it waking her up.

Pulling back she watched as her nose flutter , then her face contoured in what she thought to be agitation...
