❀AYUSHI❀

"What are you doing here?" I exclaimed, taken aback by Harsh and Aryan's unexpected presence in front of my clinic's building. I was absolutely not expecting these two humans here at this hour.

"We are here to pick you up, Ayu." Harsh replied flashing a charming smile and Aryan nodded in agreement.

"Why bother picking me up? I have my car with me." I showed them my car's key. "No need to pick me up." I said, gesturing towards my car.

"Okay, I'll get going now. Bye! You guys better leave too." I declared, yawning and jingling my keys as I turned to leave. The moonlight casted an eerie glow over the deserted parking lot.

Aryan's sudden, sharp "No!" cut through the night air, making me spin back around, keys poised mid-air, my heart racing with surprise.

His urgent tone sent shivers down my spine. "What's wrong, Aryan?" I asked, my brows shooting up in confusion. "You look like you've seen a ghost!"

Aryan's face contorted in a mixture of panic and pleading, his voice trembling. "Don't go home today, Ayu; it's not ready yet." He immediately clamped his hand over his mouth.

My confusion deepened, etching lines on my forehead. "What do you mean by 'not ready'? What are you talking about, Aryan? Did something happen at my house while I was at the clinic?"

Harsh jumped in, giving Aryan a suspicious glare. "No, Ayushi, it's nothing just a slip of the tongue. He meant let's go somewhere else tonight instead of your house." It seemed like both of them were hiding something.

I stared at the unlikely duo, incredulous, my eyes darting between them. "You can't be serious," I said. "It's pitch black, I'm exhausted, and all I want is my cozy bed  not some wild goose chase through the city. I'm leaving. Bye. You two must have lost your minds."

Aryan's eyes darted around, his voice, pleading. "Let's go somewhere else, Ayushi please."

I threw up my hands, exasperation written across my face, my patience wearing thin. "Somewhere else? At this ungodly hour? Where exactly?" I asked mockingly, folding my arms.

Harsh's eyes sparkled with persuasion as he leaned against his car, his voice smooth as honey. "Let's go to my house. It's close from here. We can watch movies and savor delicious food. We can do a night stay there."

Aryan chimed in, his voice laced with desperation, his eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "Yeah, come on Ayushi. It'll be fun, we promise."

I raised an eyebrow, amusement dancing on my lips as I shook my head. "No thanks. I'm exhausted today. The only thing I'm craving is my cozy bed, not a night of revelry. You two can have your 'night stay' without me."
