Alone in the castle.

  
Nick's POV.
I woke up normally at around 10 AM. I expected that Brent was still asleep, so I went to the kitchen to get some breakfast.

My parents were already up, so we said good morning to each other and I took my food to eat.
  
 
"Nick, dear. Me and Luigi will have to go on... Well, I'd call it a business trip for about a week. Can you and Brent handle everything here while we're gone?" - my mom, Daisy, asked with a calm, yet sure voice.

"Of course, mom." - I answered confidently. - "We would never let you down."

"I know you would never, dear. But I had to make sure." - she said, laughing to herself.

"Don't do anything dangerous while we're gone, yes?" - my dad, Luigi, added.

"I know, dad. I'm not 5 years old. I know what's dangerous and what's not."

"Oh, I'm sure. But you're a bit... Too lively at times."

I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Come on, everything will be fine. I'm not stupid." - I said, trying to sound assuring.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." - my brother, Brent, said behind me, probably woke up a few minutes ago and that was the only thing he heard. - "Good morning." - he added while looking at our parents.

"OH YOU FU-"

"Nick, language!" - my dad yelled. - "Morning, Brent."

"Good morning, dear, but don't say that to your brother." - My mom said and chuckled a bit.
 
 
Brent went towards the table to get himself food as well. Our mom repeated the same thing to him, that they're going out, and he had a similar reaction to me.

I finished my meal, so I left the kitchen and went towards my room to read something.

A few minutes later, Brent came into my room, so I got up and we started talking.
 
 
"Honestly, I'm so excited. Our parents rarely go somewhere, especially for a few days." - he said, happy - "Having a castle to ourselves will be so fun."

"For real, bro. I can't wait." - I answered in excitement.
 
 
We talked like that for a few minutes, thinking about everything we can do when our parents leave.
 
 
 
7 hours later - 6 PM.
 
 
 
"Are you two sure you'll handle it?" - my dad asked us, unsure

"Yes, dad..." - I said, getting annoyed.

"Just asking, don't do anything stupid."

"Dad..."

My mom and Brent giggled.
"Okay, you two. Love you, I'm gonna miss you!" - mom said, hugging both me and Brent.

"Love you too." - we answered her.
   
   
After saying our goodbyes, our parents left the castle. I watched through the front door how they were going, and soon enough, I didn't see them anymore.

We were happy about having the castle to ourselves. I already had a bunch of ideas on what to do while our parents are gone.
 
 
"Nick." - Brent suddenly said.

"Yeah?" - I asked with an excited smile.

"Don't fuck around already, they just left. Don't do anything stupid."

"You sound like dad." - I complained. - "You're talking as if you just met me. Who do you think I am?" - I said, smirking.

"Oh my god." - he said and held his face. - "What are you planning already..."

"Oh, absolutely nothing." - I rolled my eyes playfully.

Brent just looked at me with the "Are you sure." stare. - "Really." - he said, ironically. - "Really now."

I just shrugged at that.

Brent sighed. - "I'm sorry for everything that comes because of you."

"You're overreacting. Peace!" - I said and ran to my room.
 
 
 
Brent's POV.
I watched Nick running towards his room, knowing damn well he's going to come back in a few seconds.

I was right, because soon enough I saw Nick, running from his room with a skateboard and jumping on the stair railing, driving down.
 
 
"YEAH BABYYY!" - he screamed, seemingly having lots of fun as he slid down the railing.

"Nick, CAREFUL! You're gonna hurt yourself!" - I yelled to him, and after that, silently said to myself. - "Oh my fucking god, an adult and worse than a child..."

"YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER, BITCH!" - he yelled back, having fun.

I started walking towards him, trying to get him to stop. - "Well, I'm not, but you're my brother, dumbass!"
 
 
He was driving around the castle like that, when suddenly he hit himself because of the drawer and fell down.

Nick hit the drawer and railing on the other side. Despite that though, he laughed at this.

I ran up to him, making sure he was okay.
 
"Holy shit, that was hella fun!" - he said, still laughing and laying on the floor.

"I told you you're gonna hurt yourself. Can you get up?" - I asked, a bit annoyed, but still wanting to help him.

"Oh fuck it, I'm fine." - he said and got up to sit down. - "Hurts a bit, but it's tolerable."

I crouched down next to him. - "Put your shirt up a bit, I want to see what you got. If it hurts you by just sitting from laying down, then I'd rather make sure it's nothing serious."

Nick rolled his eyes. - "You're paranoid, but fine." - he said and rolled up his shirt, revealing a huge bruise. - "Eh, it's just a bruise."

I held my hand close to Nick's bruise, trying to compare the size of it to my hand. - "Okay, bruise, but this is a huge one... That's fine, I'll get something for it." - I said and got up, holding my hand out to help Nick get up.

"Yeah, thanks." - he said, grabbing my hand and getting up with my help. - "It's nothing serious though, don't be so serious over it. I'm not a 5 year old kid."

"You act like you are 5 years old."

"You're overreacting."

I rolled my eyes. - "You're so annoying, go to your room, I'll get you something cold."

"You're annoying too, but thank you." - he said and went to his room, still giggling about the situation.
 
 
I sighed and went to one of the servants to ask if they have any sort of cold bag, cream or anything to help with the bruise.

Soon enough, I got both a cold bag and cream, so I went to Nick's room and threw it at him.
 
 
"Take this shit and do something with it. I'm not gonna treat you like a baby after all." - I said.

"Oh why thank you, because I didn't want you to do that for me anyway." - he smiled. - "Welp, at least you got it for me, I was too lazy to get it myself, so thanks for that."

"Shut up and take care of yourself already, you idiot." - I said and left the room.
 
 
We didn't really do anything for the rest of the day except playing games, reading books and so on.

After a few hours of having lots of fun, we decided to go to sleep.
