Brent's POV.
We went inside the room and the guards told us to rest. After they left and locked the door, we three immediately started discussing without a second of hesitation.
    
 
"Okay, guys, now let's be for real, is really anyone willing to listen to Nick about not intervening?" - Sophist asked and sat on the bed, crossing his arms.

"Of course NOT, what kind of question is that, Eevee?!" - I shouted. - "I don't care how good he is or could possibly be at fighting and dodging, I ain't going to leave him alone."

"He asked us though, and we told him we won't intervene..." - Vernias answered a bit upset, probably not happy to break on his word, as he went up to Eevee and started healing his wounds.

"You can't be serious, Vern. I am NOT going to leave him like that, I don't give a shit about a thing he said!" - I yelled. - "When it comes to the safety, there's no way I'm not going to participate in fight."

"And despite him basically only arguing with me, I want to help him too. I consider you all as my best friends, and I won't leave anyone's back." - Sophist added.

Vernias sighed and nodded, smiling to both of us.
"I agree, you guys are right. I'm not going to leave either, I'm more than willing to help."

Me and Eevee smiled back to him, but - as Vern stood up - he almost fell over, probably because of feeling weak after using so much power to heal us.

I caught and helped him in standing up.

"Oops, my bad-" - Vernias said, a bit embarrassed, as he held onto my shoulder and started healing me too.

"Are you sure you can heal? Maybe you should rest?" - I asked him.

"No, I have to heal all of us. I'll rest right after anyway." - Vern answered, getting a bit more weakened each second, as he finished healing me.

"Dude, you're literally glowing. Don't turn into Nick." - Eevee said, jokingly.

"Shut up, Sophist." - both me and Vern said.
  
  
Vernias sat down on the bed, healing himself, and when he finally finished, he passed out from the power overuse. He was glowing a lot, but thankfully he fainted on the bed, so he didn't hit himself by accident.

I got a bit stunned, since the pass out was sudden, but I decided not to try waking him up. We all needed to rest, so both me and Eevee decided to finish our talk about any ideas of fighting with Bowser and rest right after.
 
 
"Okay, let's let him rest. How do we intervene in the fight though?" - I asked Sophist. - "I know Nick my whole life, and he will do anything to make sure he fights alone for the sake of other people's safety."

"Yeah, why does he do that, though? He's literally risking his life." - Eevee pointed out, looking at me with a confused face.

"Exactly, that's the point." - I answered. - "His one of the only wishes is to risk his life for other people, especially the ones he cares about."

"That sounds too heroic for him, but sure." - Eevee thought, but continued. - "Well, we must help him when he is weakened then, and has no way of making us leave. You know what I'm saying?"

"Yeah, I get it. I hope everything will go well and we won't fuck it up."

"I'm sure it will be fine. Besides, we have Vernias, a literal healer, and me, who can teleport us if it'll get too dangerous, maybe teleportation within short distance, but can be through walls."

I thought about it for a second and nodded.
"You're right. It's gotta work. But we have to rest, so for now, good night. Let's hope for the best."

"Night."
 
 
After our talk, we both laid on the beds. These were kind of uncomfortable, but better than sleeping on the floor, I suppose.

Of course though, I was stressing a lot about tomorrow. Which made it awfully hard to lay in one place. After stirring in bed for about an hour and looking for a comfortable position, I was able to eventually fall asleep.
  
  
  
(A/N) - A bit shorter chapter because I have a lot of tests and stuff coming up soon and I gotta study. I'll try to update the story with a longer part next time once I get some time to spare.
