The Broken Observatory - Party Crashers AU

Power "unlocked".

We walked for a little while to find a good place to train our abilities.

After a few minutes, we decided to stop, since we found a field right next to the forest, which was perfect for training and eventually resting if needed.

I looked around, then turned to Nick, Vern and Eevee.

"So... I think we can try here?" - I asked.

"Sure." - Nick agreed.

"Sounds great!" - Vernias exclaimed, excited.

"I could care less, just do your thing." - Eevee mumbled.

Vernias looked at Sophist, seemingly a bit annoyed.
"I'm guessing you're not going to help us during that?"

"I don't feel like it." - Sophist said, then looked at Nick. - "Especially helping him."

Nick rolled his eyes, annoyed.

Vernias sighed.
"Okay, that's fine." - he said, trying to be calm and looked at me and Nick. - "I'll help, if that's okay."

"That would be nice." - I smiled.

"Yeah, what he said." - Nick added.

"Splendid! Just tell me, what powers you have?" - Vern asked.

"From what I was told, I can control the weather." - I answered.

"I can control plants." - Nick said.

"Ooh, alright! Let's try then!" - Vern said, excited and happy to help us.

For the next minutes, me and Nick were listening to Vernias, as well as trying to use our powers at the same time.

From what Vernias said, we had to "Focus and feel the power going through our body to hands", and then try to control it.

I tried to calm down and focus. To help me with that, I tried closing my eyes.

I breathed in and out, when finally, through closed eyes, I saw something shining. I opened eyes to see my hands glowing light blue, and soon enough, it became a bit windy.

I smiled, excited to see my new abilities like that, and decided to try what professor E. Gadd. has said before about making myself float.

I made the wind go under my feet, and soon enough, I was floating around the field. "WOOO!!" - I screamed, excited, as I felt the wind lifting me under my feet.

I came back from flying about a minute later.

"HOLY FUCK, IT'S AMAZING!" - I shouted.

Vernias laughed.
"Yeah! You got the hang of it really quickly!" - he said, happy.

I looked at Nick, who was sitting on a plant-throne that he made with his powers.
"I look hot as hell." - he stated.

"Sure." - Vernias giggled.

"Nah man, you literally look like our mom right now. The only difference is I don't think you're a woman." - I said. - "You'd look better if you actually were, though."

"What was THAT supposed to mean?!" - Nick yelled.

Vernias laughed.

"Just saying facts, but okay, anyway." - I said, finishing this topic, not to start another fight. - "What should we do now? Just going towards Bowser's castle or what?"

"Wouldn't do that now. Using powers equals losing energy." - Eevee said, not really paying much attention to us. - "If I were you, I'd rest. It's for the better and the energy definitely will help eventually."

"Sophist actually uses his brain for once, that's awesome." - Nick said, still annoyed.

"Oh my fucking god." - I said, getting tired of their constant fights. - "Do you both need a timeout or something to stop fucking around with each other already?!"

Nick shrugged.

I sighed.
"Whatever, man. Let's just rest."

"I got ya." - Nick said.

Soon enough, Nick used his power to make 3 beds with plants for... us.
"Sophist is sleeping on the ground, sorry buddy." - Nick grinned.

"You fucking asshole." - Eevee answered angrily, coming towards Nick.

I stopped him before he could do something.
"Stop. FIGHTING." - I yelled. - "Nick, for fucks sake, make him a bed. I'm so full of your fights."

"Fine fine." - Nick said, laughing a bit, and he made a fourth bed with his plant power.
 
 
Surprisingly, it was quite comfortable considering we're on some literal plants, and not much time later, I fell asleep.
