Brent's POV.
The arena unfortunately had glass around the audience seats, so we couldn't just simply jump into the fight that easily. Thankfully, Vern and Eevee immediately knew what to do if we had to get to the arena, based on their nods and smiles when I looked at them.
  
  
 
I watched the entire fight carefully, looking at every move Nick and Bowser made, studying the attack sequences. Both of them were doing well, but I quickly noticed how tired they were getting from using their powers.

I didn't want to intervene yet, but when I saw Bowser grabbing Nick by the neck and the blood falling down his body, I placed my hand on Sophist's shoulder and shook him. Vernias looked at us and nodded, using his wings to fly up above the glass and then into the arena, while Eevee teleported us through the glass into the arena, so I cushioned our fall by creating a wind under our feet to make us float a bit.

I used my power to blind Bowser with sunlight, causing him to drop Nick, making the latter fall harshly to the ground.
   
"Hello, motherfucker." - I shouted to Bowser as he quickly paid all his attention to us three, still trying to cover his eyes from the sun.

We decided to split and make Bowser run after me and Eevee, so Vernias can take care of Nick.
 
  
 
Nick's POV.
I only felt the fall after Bowser dropped me, quickly stroking with a headache. Felt like I broke my arms or something too, but it was probably just the pain, nothing serious. As soon as I felt getting released from the grip, I tried to catch my breath, which was extremely hard considering the amount of blood dripping from my throat, and right after falling, I heard muffled Brent's voice. Of course they didn't listen, fucking idiots.

About a minute later, I heard someone running up to me, quickly figuring it was Vernias, who helped me get up from laying and we sat down, so he could see the blood marks and heal me more easily.
 
   
"Dude, this fucking hole you have in your throat looks extremely painful, you're actually fucking insane." - Vernias said with frowning face while healing me and preventing the bleeding.

"While none of you listened about not intervening." - I said quietly when I felt a bit better thanks to the healing, but still felt some pain in my throat.

"Of course we didn't, we won't just let you die!" - Vern shouted.

I tried to push him away, because I already felt good enough to fight again, but Vernias stopped me from standing up.
"Don't move, you're still bleeding, idiot."

I rolled my eyes.
"It's just blood, let me finish what was started."

"Oh, of course. WE will finish what was started, but after I heal you fully." - Vernias said, emphasizing the word "we" and smiling.

I chuckled a bit and nodded.
"You guys are so stubborn." - I said with a laugh, as I got up with Vernias' help.

Vern used his wings to float, while I looked around to study Bowser's movements when he was chasing Brent and Eevee. I looked at Vernias and he looked at me, both of us grinned at the same time.

"Ready for round two?" - Vernias asked, raising one eyebrow with a smile.

I just chuckled as we both ran towards the others to help with the fighting.
  
 
 
We mostly were running instead of actually attacking, because Bowser was way too tall, but we managed to make it work. The only thing we didn't think about was that we were being too close all the time, which gave him an idea.

Bowser suddenly spun around, hitting us with his tail, making us four literally crash into the wall. We all fell to the ground close to each other, and all of us looked at everyone with a distraught face. We were bleeding quite badly and none of us could stand up.
 
  
Bowser went towards us, grinning and laughing, before speaking;
"How stupid. I only needed one other person's power, but now I get four at once." - he exclaimed, hearing all the cheers from the audience. - "Last words?"

That final sentence really got into me. I never expected to die like that, especially dying with my friends. I thought about saying goodbyes to them, but before I did, I noticed Vernias forming his hand in a barrel shape, pulling it out towards all of us with the last bits of his energy. It reminded us...

He smiled and whispered;
"Now or never."
  
  
We faintly smiled back, as Eevee also put down his hand on Vern's. After that, I put down mine and lastly Brent. We waited a few seconds, and soon enough, our hands started glowing.

We closed our eyes, letting the incantation's power get into us. After a few seconds, we all got a sudden burst of power and energy, making us glow in different light colors.
Brent was blue, Vernias was pink, Sophist was purple, and I was orange.

Bowser looked at us with both confused and shocked expression, as he tried to rush towards us to attack again. When he tried to make a hit, it felt like we were immune. Literally none of his attacks worked on us, as if we had a shield.

We looked at each other with a smile, as we all placed one of our hands together, which created a huge power beam that hit Bowser with for a solid few seconds.
 
Once we all knocked him and stopped our power, I came towards Bowser, checking what we did. Despite him trying to murder us, I didn't want to kill him. It wouldn't feel right, even though I felt like he deserved it.
 
  
"Back to the business, how to restore the observatory's energy?" - I asked him with a serious face, crossing my arms.

Bowser groaned, trying to get up, unsuccessfully.
"Ugh... It's all in the machine in a hidden room. One of the guards will lead you all there."

"You better not be lying." - I said, turning around to the others and shouting the same thing Bowser has told me.

I started walking towards the three, when suddenly, I felt a sharp pain through my chest. I looked at the ground with widened eyes, noticing a... pink boomerang? A few seconds later, I started feeling blood coming out of my mouth and chest.

I heard Brent, Vern and Eevee yelling towards my direction before I completely lost consciousness and everything went dark.
