A contented sigh left Lucas lips as he stretched his aching limbs, his eyes fluttering open sitting up glancing around the room as he remembered Peyton coming to confess her feelings but left as soon as she saw Ellie and the blonde beauty left not long after Peyton finding the entire situation awkward and wanted to speak with Peyton but the girl never answered any of her calls. Lucas climbed out of his bed getting dressed for the day before he made his way to the kitchen where his uncle Keith was washing the pots.
Keith turned around at the sound of footsteps only to raise his brows at his nephew and told him, " you look like hell" Lucas let out a laugh at Keith words letting out a heavy sigh and confessed, " I didn't get much sleep" Keith furrowed his brows in confusion as he curiously questioned, "why's that? What's up?" Lucas had a troubled expression on his face as he thought back to the events of last night, " you ever have a tough decision to make? And wonder if you made the right choice?"
"What kind of choice are you talking about?" Keith curiously questioned making Lucas sign once again but before he could say anything the sound of knocking was heard before the door opened with Ellie walking in with Maya strapped to her chest carrying two carrying a cup holder with two drinks, " Hi" Ellie smiled greeting lucas who smiled in response looking down at the girl in adoration, " Hi" he leaned down pressing a kiss to her lips when Keith cleared his throat loudly and called out, " I think you're good"
Ellie let out a laugh turning around to face Keith running her hand across her daughters head, " It's good to see again Keith" Lucas shook his head in amusement as Ellie brought his uncle into a hug before pulling away, " we're gonna get out of here" Lucas placed his hand on Ellie lower back but before the two teens could leave Keith stopped them, " Okay. Don't forget, your mom's calling from Italy at 6pm sharp" Lucas nodded his head in confirmation accepting the cup of coffee that his girlfriend had gotten him, " oh, right. I'll be here, promise"
Ellie and Lucas walked out of the house and towards her car where she unstrapped Maya putting her into the car seat, " so I thought we could go get some breakfast before I drop off Maya at her grandfathers for a couple of days" Lucas nodded his head watching as Ellie took off the baby carrier placing it next to the car seat before she closed the door and walked around the car and climbed into the driving seat, " sounds perfect"

"It's not that hard, alright? Peyton and I just don't make sense as a couple. Were better as friends, she ever said so herself" Lucas explained to Haley as the two of them were walking across the school grounds only for the auburn haired girl to sent him a look and exclaimed, " and then she took it back" Lucas furrowed his brows sending Haley a look and asked, " Now, what are you, her lawyer?" Haley sighed as she shook her head in response and explained, " Look, I've seen Peyton really try and make an effort to turn things around, and it just sucks that she got bit the first time she reached out to somebody, you know?"
