Harry and Hermione stood on the bridge heads out in the breeze. Harry was happy unbelievably happy the night before he plucked up the courage to kiss Hermione. He didn't even realize he was kissing her until her hand ran up the back of his neck. Now she was standing next to him just enjoying each other's presence.

"Harry, have you figured out the egg yet?" Hermione asked nonchalantly not even looking at him.

"Uh no I haven't even started." He cringed honestly waiting for her to get angry at him.

"Oh my god! You told me you figured the egg out weeks ago, the task is two days from now!" she cried staring at him.

"HErmione!." he voice cracked embarrassingly before continuing
"You were crying I didn't want to make it worse." she smiled and hit him lightly before her lips parted.

"You are trying to figure this egg out?" she asked warily

"What's that supposed to mean." Harry responded darkly staring at her.

"Well, these trials are supposed to test you... in the most brutal ways they are cruel." Harry looked away from her down towards the valley beneath them. Hermione walked around and pushed her face inches from his.

"And um... I'm scared for you." Harry looked at her face. her soft lips and her perfect curls flowing in the wind.
"You got past the dragon mostly on nerve I'm really not sure it's going to be enough this time." Harry frowned at her and was about to talk as a voice called out walking quickly down the bridge.

"Hey Potter!" It was Cedric Diggory, Harry studied him as he stalked closer.  Harry turned and walked away with Hermione close behind him. Cedric called his name and pushed Hermione lightly out of his way.

"How are you, Harry?" He said slowly. awkwardness enveloped the two of them as Harry responded looking up to meet the Hufflepuffs gaze.

"Spectacular." Harry responded with a snarky tone in his voice.

"Look I realized I never really thanked you properly for telling me about those dragons." Cedric looked down from Harry's face down towards the bridge's old dark planks.

"Forget about it I'm sure you'd do the same for me." Harry turned to walk towards Hermione before Cedric started again grabbing him by his shoulder and twisting Harry slightly leaning in.

"Exactly... Y'know the prefect's bathroom at the first floor?" Harry nodded in response slightly backing away from Cedric.

"It's not a bad place for a bath." Cedric continued then backed up from Harry before giving him an awkward smile.

"Just take your egg and... Mull things over in the hot water." Cedric turned and walked away leaving Harry awestruck at the stupid hint.

"What was that." Harry said while stalking over to Hermione. Harry's hint was straight to the god damn point.
"Hey Cedric. There's a big fat dragon that wants to eat you." Harry thought to himself
"Not take a dip in the Prefects bathroom naked with a massive golden egg."

"Harry your being an idiot. He's saying that the water has something to do with the egg!" Hermoine frowned at him.

"Oh really?" Harry turned to smile at her, and she hit him with her Hogwarts A History book that she seemed to carry everywhere.

"Honestly Harry if you weren't so..."

"Handsome?" Harry interjected before she could finish her thought. Another strike from the evil book came down on Harry's back as he lurched forward trying to get out of the demon's arm's length. He turned and tackled her in an embrace lurching her upwards so her feet couldn't touch the ground. Harry grinned as Hermione yelled.
