The night had fallen quietly over the house, a blanket of silence wrapping the house in its embrace. Ruhi lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep. The soft moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting pale shadows across the room.
She turned on her side, pulling the blanket tighter around her, but the coldness she felt wasn't just from the chill of the night. It was a coldness inside her, a swirling mess of thoughts and emotions.
Ruhi couldn't stop thinking about Ruhan. The way he'd looked at her earlier today, the way his words had lingered long after he spoke. She didn't know how to handle him, how to handle them. She kept telling herself that it was just the curse, just the pressure, just the fear of what was to come. But every time she saw him, something inside her stirred-something she couldn't explain.
Why did he care so much? Why was he always there, always so damn steady? He made her feel like she mattered in ways no one else did, and it terrified her.
The door to Ruhi's room creaked open, and she instinctively looked toward it, her heart racing. There he was-Ruhan, standing in the doorway, his expression unreadable.
"Can't sleep?" he asked, his voice low, almost casual.
Ruhi gave a soft sigh and propped heeself up on her elbow. "I'm fine. Just thinking."
He stepped inside, his presence filling the space. "Thinking about what?" he asked, his gaze soft but intense, like he was searching for something she wasn't ready to give him.
Ruhi hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. Finally, she spoke, "I... I was thinking about yesterday."
Ruhan's brow furrowed, waiting for her to continue.
She took a deep breath, her voice trembling as she recounted the incident from the cemetery the previous afternoon. "It was strange, Ruhan. The weather had shifted out of nowhere, turning dark and heavy. The wind was picking up, and the cemetery was so quiet... too quiet. I was the only one there, and the graves seemed to stretch on forever, like they were forgotten. It felt like no one had visited in ages."
She paused for a moment, as if still feeling the unease. "Then, out of nowhere, a man appeared in the corner of the cemetery. I hadn't noticed him at first. He was standing by a grave, placing flowers down gently. The whole scene seemed out of place. It was like he came out of the shadows. I walked closer to check, the name on the grave who it was, and when I looked at the grave, the name on it was Jenesis Adamson."
Ruhan's eyes widened in surprise, his voice shaky. "Jenesis... That's my sister's name. But who could it be, placing flowers there? It doesn't make sense. No one from our family is here. If someone were to visit, I would know about it."
Ruhi's hand gently rested on his, her fingers trembling slightly. "Ruhan, all of this is getting so complicated. How are we supposed to handle it? There are too many mysteries now, things we didn't even know we were involved in."
Ruhan didn't say anything at first, his expression unreadable. He looked at her, but his mind was elsewhere, caught in a whirlwind of thoughts.
Without a word, Ruhan walked away, leaving her room.
In his own room, Ruhan sat down, his mind replaying the events Ruhi had told him about. He couldn't understand it-who could have been at the cemetery? Who was this stranger placing flowers on his sister's grave? None of it made sense, and the more he thought about it, the deeper the mystery seemed to grow.

Ruhi's POV...
The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. I woke up slowly, the events of the previous day still swirling in my mind. My head was foggy, but the memory of the cemetery-the eerie silence, the sudden change in weather, and that strange man-stayed fresh in my mind.
