Ruhi's POV...

The moment I reached the hospital, I bolted straight to the reception desk, my heart pounding with fear. I could barely keep my voice steady as I asked, "Excuse me... I'm looking for a patient named Ruhan. Can you please tell me where he is?"

The receptionist scanned the records, then looked up at me, shaking her head. "I'm sorry, but we don't have a Ruhan admitted here."

My stomach dropped. No, this couldn't be right. He had to be here. Taking a deep breath, I tried again, forcing myself to stay calm. "Could you please check under the name... Aiden Adamson?"

The receptionist's expression changed as she checked again. "Yes, we have him here. Aiden Adamson is in Room 302."

My relief was so overwhelming that I barely registered her next question. "And your relation to him?"

Without hesitation, I answered, "I'm his wife. Mrs. Adamson."

The words left my mouth so naturally, it startled even me. But I didn't have time to think about it. She quickly gave me the directions, and Anshi and I moved toward the hallway, my heart pounding as I searched for his room.

The sight of Room 302 was like a beacon, and I broke into a run, bursting through the door. There he was, lying on the bed, unconscious. The sight of him like that, so still and vulnerable, made my heart clench.

I went to his side, grasping his hand tightly, tears streaming down my face. "Ruhan..." I whispered, my voice breaking. "Please, open your eyes. Please... say something. Tease me, scold me, whatever you want... just wake up." My voice was soft, desperate, as I whispered over and over, "I'll listen to you, I'll do whatever you say, just... please wake up."

And then, suddenly, I heard the faintest murmur.

"So, you'll do everything I say, huh?" came Ruhan's familiar, teasing voice, a hint of mischief in his tone.

I looked up, shocked, and found his eyes open, a playful smile on his lips. Relief flooded through me as I saw his gaze, alive and filled with that usual spark. I couldn't stop the tearful smile from spreading across my face as I held his face in my hands. "Are you okay?" I whispered, unable to believe he was awake.

He nodded, his smile widening. "Yes, I'm okay... wifey."

The way he called me that, so casually, made my cheeks warm, but I barely had a moment to react before he spoke again. "Now, you promised you'd do what I want. So, say you love me."

The words made my cheeks burn. I slapped his hand lightly, rolling my eyes. "Shut up, Ruhan."

He let out a playful groan, clutching his hand as if I'd actually hurt him. "Ow, ow... now you're hurting an injured man? And here I thought you cared!"

In a panic, I instantly reached out, rubbing his hand in apology, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..."

He chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with that mischievous light. "Gotcha."

I shot him a glare, but my relief overpowered my irritation. "Are you really okay?" I asked, my voice soft, searching.

He nodded, but then his expression grew serious. "No, actually... I'm not okay."

Before I could react, he pulled me close, his hand tangling in my hair. I barely had time to gasp as he tilted my head up and kissed me, his lips pressing against mine with a fierce intensity, as if he was drinking in every second. His grip on me was strong, unwavering, and I felt myself melting into the kiss, completely powerless against the force of his need.

His kiss was rough, almost possessive, and I could feel the emotion pouring out of him-fear, relief, and something deeper, something he hadn't yet put into words. I found myself responding, my hands clutching his shirt as I let myself get lost in the moment. He was like an addiction I couldn't resist, and all I wanted was to stay right here, in his arms.
